Pingshan County Museum
Pingshan County Museum is a local museum based on the ancient buildings of Pingshan Confucian temple. It covers an area of 8000 square meters. There are 11 existing ancient buildings. The existing Confucian temple buildings are not only the exhibition hall, but also the earliest, large-scale and well preserved Confucian culture in Hebei Province. Hushan Confucian temple was first built in the 29th year of Kaiyuan (714) of Tang Dynasty, and was relocated here in the second year of Suining (1103) of Song Dynasty.
Development history
The existing Confucian temple building is not only the exhibition hall, but also the earliest, large-scale and well preserved Confucian culture in Hebei Province. architectural composition
In the middle of Ming Dynasty, the scale was complete, covering 15000 square meters at that time. There are 47 single buildings in the temple. From south to north, the central axis buildings are mainly Jinsheng gate, Yuzhen gate, panchi, Guanyuan bridge, Lingxing gate, halberd gate, God kitchen, slaughterhouse, east-west waist gate, east-west accessory hall, Dacheng hall, Shengji hall, jingyiting hall, etc. On the west side is the Western Learning Department, with Ximen gate, panchi, Shiqiao, Minglun hall, Minghuan temple, Zunjing Pavilion, Jiaoyu xunzhuo house, etc.
Collection
There are five hall style exhibition halls, including: the statue of Confucius and twelve philosophers in Dacheng hall; the "Analects hall" in the East Hall, 56 pieces of Analects selected calligraphy display and 16 square meters of relief murals of Confucius lecturing in Xingtan; 33 pieces of wall comic strips in the "holy trace hall" in the West Hall; the murals of traditional culture in Jimen; the local revolutionary history of Pingshan in the "heroic soul" of shenkitchen, with 5400 martyrs on display The story of the scholar and related pictures.
Current situation
The existing halberd gate still retains the legacy of the Yuan Dynasty. There are six ancient cypresses in the courtyard, one of which is in the center of cypress tree which is three meters away from the surface of the earth. A mulberry tree, commonly known as "Bo Bao sang", is born from it. The cypress tree is more than 1300 years old, and the mulberry tree is more than 300 years old.
