Leping Museum

Leping museum is located in the West Street of Leping City, with an exhibition area of 80 square meters. It displays 210 pieces of cultural relics unearthed and collected from the Paleolithic age to the Republic of China.

Development history

In 1976, with the approval of the exhibition group of the Provincial Cultural Affairs Office, a cultural relics exhibition room was set up in Leping county to be responsible for the protection, publicity and collection of cultural relics in the county.

In 1984, with the approval of the county Party committee, Leping County Museum was set up, which works together with the county cultural center and library.

In June 1989, the three libraries were established separately. The museum has an exhibition room and a storeroom, both of which are on the third floor of the new museum building, covering an area of more than 300 square meters.

In 1992, saxian county was changed into a city, which was renamed its current name. There are 1060 cultural relics in Leping Museum. Among the cultural relics are stone, pottery, porcelain, copper, iron, tin, jade, fossils, pottery, calligraphy and inscriptions by central leaders. Among them, blue and white glazed red jade pot in Yuan Dynasty, milky white glazed melon ridge pot in Northern Song Dynasty, and written porcelain gray board of Tang Ying, the governor of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, are rare in China.

Collection

The precious collection of spring bottles with red rabbit and bamboo patterns in glaze mainly includes the ancient stone tools unearthed in Leping, the bronzes in the pre Qin period and the fine ceramics of the past dynasties after the Han Empire. From the Warring States period to the Western Han Dynasty. A total of 56, including 18 duo and 38 Ling. Duo can be divided into two types: type I for the whole body plain face, type II for the network line milk dot pattern. The bell is consistent with the pattern of the second type duo. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Qinggua was in charge of the pot. Melon cap, flat crank, thin long flow. There are six ridges on the abdomen, one persimmon leaf on the handle and one on the lower end of the stream. The glaze color is between blue and white, the pot body is beautiful, and the glaze color is crystal clear. The spring vase with red rabbit and bamboo pattern in glaze was made in Yuan Dynasty. Trumpet mouth, slender neck, abdominal hypertrophy, circle foot exotropia. The embryo is thick and firm, the glaze juice is lustrous and lustrous, and the color is duck egg blue. The color of underglaze red is unstable. The neck and abdomen are decorated with two or five string patterns, among which there are three groups of snake patterns. The abdomen is painted with bamboo, rabbit and stone mountain. The brush is skillful, vivid, and the overall shape is straight and beautiful, and the production is fine.

Function value

This time, the Chinese Academy of traditional opera decided to set up a teaching and research base for the traditional stage in Leping, Jiangxi Province. This is not only a full affirmation of the academic value of the ancient stage in Leping, but also a great support for the excavation of historical culture and the acceleration of the development of cultural industry in Leping. The establishment of the teaching and research base will become a strong support for the undergraduate and graduate teaching and academic research of China Academy of traditional opera, and also provide a broader prospect for the further cooperation and exchange between the two sides in the research of Chinese traditional stage, the inheritance of Chinese stage culture, and the development of Chinese stage culture industry. Batu pointed out that the visit to the ancient stage of Leping really had a feeling of going home for those who specialized in the teaching and research of opera and stage. He was shocked by the number, scale, exquisite carving, gorgeous modeling and intact preservation of the ancient stage of Leping.
