Pingliang ancient Gorge

Pingliang ancient gorge is located in Pingliang village, dafengdong Township, Kaili County, Guizhou Province, 50 kilometers away from the urban area. Originated in the west of Majiang, along the cave of Chongan River, in front of Pingliang village into the ancient gorge. On both sides of the ancient gorge are cliffs, imposing. The river in the gorge is turbulent and the waves are rolling, with a flow of more than 10 Li, so it is also called Shili ancient gorge.

Location of scenic spots

The plain and beautiful Pingliang village is built on the half slope of the river. Due to the large drop of the river bed, the river water flows through the Shimenkan, where it suddenly surges violently and rolls into the ancient gorge.

Scenic spots

At the mouth of the ancient gorge, there is camel peak on the right and baibiyan on the left. The two peaks face each other and block out the sky and the sun, just like the two gates of the ancient gorge, hiding the river in the deep gorge. As soon as you enter the ancient gorge, the wind is cool. There is a deep cave in the middle of baibiyan, where monkeys often haunt. Baiyantang under baibiyan is a pond in the river with a depth of 30-40 meters. The river is whirling here. Due to the strange depth of the pond, the turtle here weighs more than 10 jin, and the silver carp weighs 70-80 Jin.

After baiyantang, there are 33 waves. On both sides of "thirty three waves", there are monkey mountain like a monkey and immortal mountain like a white haired old man. Both peaks are towering cliffs more than 100 meters high.

Entering the belly of the ancient gorge, the rolling river becomes calm as a mirror. On both sides of the cliff peak, rattan flowers reflected in the water, picturesque, beautiful. On both sides of the river are strange peaks and rocks. Some of them stand upright in the blue sky like chopping with an axe. Some of them are sunken at the lower end and protruding at the upper end. They are hanging in the clouds and are about to fly.

After "thirty three waves", I turned around a huge rock wall. In front of me, I saw a cliff piercing the sky. A mountain spring flew down from the top of the cliff, fell on a rock eaves tens of meters away, then bounced down, splashed on a rock eaves again, and finally sprinkled on the river, like silk, like thread, like bead, like chain, like lotus, like smoke, like fog.

In 2013, Pingliang Shili ancient gorge drifted, attracting many rafters to experience. The construction of Pingliang Shili ancient Gorge Scenic area takes the natural landscape, red culture, Mulao, Miao and other minority cultures as the development core, making up for the gap that Kaili City, as an excellent tourist city in China, has no high-end natural tourist attractions. The construction of the project mainly includes leisure center, grand leap of Canyon, style rafting, water camp, student training and camping base, etc. the goal is to build the first Chinese style leisure gorge integrating tourism and leisure, ethnic customs and Zen experience.
