Beijing Shunxin green resort was built in 1986. It is the largest plain forest ecotourism scenic spot in Beijing. It is located in the west of Lisui Town, Shunyi District, Beijing, on the Bank of Chaobai River with beautiful scenery. It is 35 km away from the urban area of Beijing and 13 km away from the capital airport. It is also connected with Jingshun Road, jingtongdao Road, Shunping road and Shunchang Road, so the traffic is very convenient. It has 3000 mu of vast forest, 2000 mu of vast water area and 500 mu of golden beach. The forest and water complement each other, and the water and sand blend together, forming a unique pastoral landscape. It is known as the "Vienna forest on the outskirts of Beijing".

Chaobai River is the largest river in the east of Beijing. It flows through Shunyi for 32 kilometers, runs through the north and south of Shunyi, and forms a wide water area of 14.8 square kilometers. The forests on both sides are deep and luxuriant, the willows are swaying, the forest covers 13 square kilometers, and there are more than 20 square kilometers of geothermal resources. The water temperature is about 50 degrees, which is the unique natural resources of the resort. On November 6, 1995, Comrade Jiang Zemin came to Shunyi for an inspection. He quoted the Song Ci "willow bank, morning breeze and waning moon" to praise the beautiful scenery here, and pointed out: "the Chaobai River is a good place. You should harness the Chaobai River well, and provide Beijing citizens with a good place for leisure and vacation.".

In 1959, Comrade Hu Yaobang led the central government cadres and teenagers to plant trees here. Since then, more than 100000 teenagers have carried out tree planting activities here. Comrade Hu Yaobang named this place "Gongqing Forest Farm" and inscribed the name of the farm in person. In 1986, with the approval of the municipal government, this place was named "Beijing Youth Green Resort" and designated as one of the top ten tourist attractions in Beijing. Wanli, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Qiao Shi, Li Ruihuan, Zhu Rongji, Liu Huaqing, Hu Jintao and other central leading comrades successively came here to participate in voluntary tree planting. On July 5, 1995, Lu Yucheng, then vice mayor of Beijing, led the leaders of the Municipal Foreign Economic Commission, the first Planning Commission, the Municipal Planning Commission, the Municipal Construction Commission, the Municipal Tourism Administration, Shunyi County and other relevant departments to inspect the resort, and designated the resort as one of the top ten tourist attractions in Beijing. In 1996, it was renamed "Beijing Green Resort" and opened to the public. In November 1999, Beijing Shunxin Agriculture Co., Ltd., Beijing Capital Tourism Group Co., Ltd. and Shuangqing Group Development Co., Ltd. increased their capital and shares again and renamed Beijing Shunxin Green Resort Co., Ltd.
