The site of Nantong ancient city, also known as "ghost repair city", is located in the western suburb of Xiangcheng City, Henan Province. It is a large-scale group of historical relics under the jurisdiction of Nantong town government. It contains the ruins of the Xia and Shang Dynasties, the ruins of the old city, the existing city walls, the ancient tombs, the guangwutai site and the Guangwu temple.

During the Xia and Shang Dynasties, human beings gathered and lived here. In 1005 BC, King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty made an expedition to the East. In order to frighten the old Shang people here, he granted the descendants of the Ji surname to build the Dunzi kingdom here. In 496 BC, when the state of Chu died, the people of Dun became slaves of Chu, and Dun was left to later generations. In the Qin Dynasty, Nantong county was established under the control of the whole country. In the Western Han Dynasty, the emperor Gaozu began to establish Nantong county and extended it to the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The old city was rebuilt for more than 400 years, so the culture of Nantong old city is rich. Liu Xiu, Guangwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, whose father Liu Qin was the magistrate of Nantong county. Liu Xiu was with his father in Nantong, and moved to Nantong in the 19th year of Jianwu after "regaining the Han Dynasty". Liu Xiunian's father's old love saved the land rent in the second year of Nantong. The people of Nantong were grateful for it from generation to generation. A temple was built on the Guangwu platform to worship it. It was destroyed and rebuilt for more than 2000 years, and the incense kept burning. From the founding of the people's Republic of China to the end of the Han Dynasty, Nantong became its capital for more than a thousand years. As the capital of a country, a prefecture, and a county, Nantong's old city has spanned more than one thousand years, forming a large cultural relic group, which is typical and cultural relic.

The ancient city site of Nandun has a long span of time. It lasted from the Xia and Shang Dynasties to the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and has been handed down for more than 2000 years. The sites are relatively concentrated. The Xia and Shang sites are 1.5 meters below the ancient city site, two kilometers from East to west, and two kilometers from north to south. Most of the old city wall of Nantong was cut high and flat by farmers. Part of the existing north city wall is 216 meters long, 30 meters wide and 5 meters high. Guangwutai site is located outside the north wall of Nantong old city. It is 270 meters long from east to west and 245 meters wide from south to north. "Nanhai Temple", "Tianye Pavilion", "guangwutai", "qinmachi", "qiandaojing" and "Ancient Ginkgo" are still available.

Although it has gone through more than 2600 years of human vicissitudes, wind and rain erosion and natural weathering, it is still magnificent. The upper layer of the wall is the culture of Qin Dynasty, the middle layer is the culture of eastern and Western Zhou Dynasty, and the lower layer is the culture of Shang Dynasty. In 1986, it was announced by the people's Government of Henan Province as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. In 1994, the people's Government of Nandun town invested 4 million yuan in tourism development. At present, the temple fair in February and October of each month radiates 200 kilometers from neighboring counties. The temple fair has been included in the three-point and one-line tourism line by the municipal government as a key project for the development of Cultural Relics Tourism in Xiangcheng city. In 2004, the museum recommended the temple fair as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, which has been reported to the State Administration of cultural relics.
