Yunhua bat cave is a national AAA scenic spot, located in Baihe Village, Wuliqiao Township, Xixia County, Henan Province. It is 6km away from the county, 2km away from 312 National Road, 5km away from Sishan National Forest Park, 5km away from Guanhe tourist area and rubber dam, 12km away from Shimen lake, 126km away from Nanyang City, 384km away from Xi'an City, and 150km away from Luoyang City. Xixia County can form the best one-day tour route.

Development history

Yunhua bat cave belongs to karst landform. The cave is named "Yunhua bat cave" because its walls are covered with cloud like patterns, brocade like satin, magnificent and gorgeous, and because there are countless bats living in it. In May 1999, the Party committee and government of Wuliqiao Township decided to carry out the protective development of Yunhua bat cave. The construction started on September 1 of the same year and was opened to the public on May 1, 2001. According to experts' research, the cave was formed in the Cretaceous of Mesozoic, with a history of 65 million years.

Main attractions

The forest outside the cave is dense and the flowers are fragrant. It is a tourist attraction integrating natural viewing, exploring in the cave, ecological sightseeing and summer vacation. There are underground corridors, Shuiqu River, Dongting underground river and stalactite in the cave. The cave is winding and tortuous. The trend is high and low. The cave body is wide and narrow. The height is more than 60 meters. When it is low, it needs to bend down to pass. When it is wide, it can reach 80 meters. When it is narrow, it is less than 1 meter. There is a hole in the hole, the hole is connected, the hole on the hole, the hole under the hole, the hole is exquisite. Some of the stalactites in the cave are like turtles exploring the sea, some are like sea dogs watching the sky, some are like lions hanging upside down, and some are like jade girls offering flowers. The rock strata are folded and bent in the geological age, and eroded by water, forming many natural rock paintings with bright lines and clear texture, which are like dragons, shrimps, tortoises, human beings, gods, animals and birds in different shapes. It is like stepping into a sacred palace of art to watch them in the cave. There are 9 scenic spots and 32 scenic spots in the cave.

There are about 100000 bats of seven species in the cave, which is a wonder of the world. Among them, the big white bat and the small eared bat are rare species. Some bats can spread their wings up to 58cm in width and fly in the air with beautiful posture. During the day, they perch upside down on the stone wall in the cave. When they are disturbed, they turn their heads, shake their ears and sing. When they come out of the cave and circle for food, it lasts for several hours. Before dawn, they circle for a moment and then enter the cave quickly, which is more spectacular than coming out of the cave; In addition, the water in the cave is constantly flowing all the year round, sometimes accumulating pools to form waterfalls, and sometimes flowing into underground rivers. Only the sound of water can be heard, but no water source can be seen.
