Wang Yangtai
Located in the west of Jishan village, chayekou Town, Laicheng District, Laiwu City, Shandong Province, wangyangtai, formerly known as Diaoyutai, is an ancient temple. It was built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is said that Jiang Taigong used to fish here, so he got the name.
In 1942, the famous battle of Jishan took place in the east of Jishan village. The Japanese puppet army surrounded the former Taishan army's divisional training team. In the fierce battle, 263 people of our army died bravely. Comrade Wang Yang, former Taishan army's divisional political commissar and Secretary of the prefectural Party committee, also died in the battle.
In April 1945, Wangyang platform was built in memory of 323 martyrs, including Wang Yang, political commissar of the military division, who died in the battle of Jishan, including Wangyang platform, exhibition hall and Zhong Xiaopei Memorial. The monument was erected on July 15, 1945 and completed in November. In 1977, the stele pavilion was renovated and the pavilion was renovated. The scenic spot is a key cultural relic protection unit of the province and a patriotism education base of the province. The monument to the Anti Japanese martyrs of wangyangtai is carved in Baling stone. It is located in the pavilion. On the front, it is engraved with "monument to the Anti Japanese martyrs", on the back, it is engraved with "brave and strong". On the other two sides, it is engraved with the names of the martyrs, "the story of the martyrs who died in the battle for Jishan in Zichuan on the eighth anniversary of the Anti Japanese War" and "biography of Wang Gu political commissar". On the Wangyang terrace, there are green pines and a dam. Green pine Pavilion, green water around the platform, surrounded by green mountains. The stele is skillfully combined with national architecture, and has inscriptions and handwriting of military leaders, calligraphers Shu Tong, Wu Zhongqi and other leaders, which has high architectural, artistic and historical value. On Qingming Festival every year, people from all walks of life come here to visit the tombs and remember the martyrs.
