How to form Yudai Beach

Yudai beach is listed in the Guinness Book of world because it is the narrowest beach Peninsula separating sea and river in the world.

As early as the Song Dynasty, the Xu family lived and multiplied in Boao. In the first year of Tiansheng in the Song Dynasty (1023), they raised funds to build Sanjiang temple in Boao. At this time, the Xu family had a certain number and scale living here. With the increasing number of Xu family members living in Boao, between Yuan and Ming Dynasties, Lehui county set up a capital in Boao, which is called pumo village capital of Boao. It is responsible for the management of Xu family members living in pumo Village section of Boao and Wanquan River.

According to legend, people surnamed Zeng were the first to build houses and settle down on the land of Boao market. "Preface to Zeng's genealogy of Boao" records that "Duke Juren is the descendant of Duke Fagong, who entered the music association from Lingshui to Kaiji Boao in the late Ming Dynasty." This genealogy proves that Zeng Juren settled in Boao at the end of Ming Dynasty and started his family business. He may be one of the first people to build a house and settle down on the land of Boao market. Zeng Juren's tomb is still in existence, and is located beside the Dongshan Road in Boao.

In the Qing Dynasty, the capital of Yuehui county was removed and townships were set up. The original Boao pumo village, which was specially in charge of the Xu family, was abolished. The area around the village was designated as Zhongzhu Township, and Boao township was established. Boao township is 40 Li vertically (north-south) and 10 Li horizontally (east-west), covering an area of 400 square Li (equivalent to 100 square kilometers). Its scope: East to the sea, South to jinniuling, West to Qixingling, Nanqiang, Beishan area, north to Huitong County (paigang area).
