Historical evolution
Jingning County belongs to Yue in the Western Zhou Dynasty. The spring and Autumn period still belongs to Yue.
The Three Kingdoms belong to Linhai county. Yongjia County and Linhai county were abolished in 589, and Kuocang county (including Jingning region) was established in Chuzhou.
In 1452, sun Yuanyuan, governor of the Ming Dynasty, set up Jingning County as the capital of the state on the pretext that "the valley is dangerous and far away, and the miners gather together". In the Qing Dynasty, the system was followed.
