Clam River Park
Clam River Park (formerly known as Lixiang garden) is located in the Eastern District of Laiyang City. It was planned and expanded on the basis of Liyuan in 1985, planned to be built in 1985 and renovated in 2014.

Clam River Park, formerly known as Lixiang garden, is located in the east of Laiyang City. There are more than 100 kinds of garden plants and 54 pieces of garden sketches. It is a comprehensive cultural and leisure park with spring flowers as its main feature, pear flowers as its main body and water and green as well.
In the south of the park, there are more than 3000 Laiyang pear plantations of 12 hectares. In the north, there are scenic spots. In the west, there are artificial lakes. The park is divided into seven functional areas: Children's entertainment, sports entertainment, water sports, animal exhibition, plant landscape, flower garden and garden management.

The north gate and North Gate Square of the clam River Park were rebuilt in 1995 with an investment of more than 2 million yuan. The building area of the north gate is more than 1000 square meters. There are three antique gates, the main gate in the middle, majestic and imposing, and the East and West are vehicle access gates. The north gate square of the park covers an area of 6000 square meters, with 12 Neon lights and 12 green bonsai. Whenever night falls, the square lights flicker, singing, laughter one after another, becoming a major night landscape in Laiyang.
The south gate and Wulong square of clam River Park cover an area of 132000 square meters, including 10000 square meters of main gate and commercial buildings on both sides, 70000 square meters of square, 50000 square meters of square green space, 66400 square meters of artificial lake, with a total investment of 16 million yuan. In the center of Wulong square are Wulong sculptures and fountains. Around the square, hundreds of ornamental lights and spotlights are installed. The lights are brilliant at night. In particular, the main gate, which is composed of 18 jade white columns, spans a hundred meters with magnificent momentum and is praised as "the first gate in Shandong" by provincial experts.
The "Ten Mile green corridor" of the clam river is located in the west of the park on both sides of the clam River Road, with a total length of 6000 meters, a width of 246 meters, and a total area of 1.647 million square meters, including land area of 903000 square meters and water area of 744000 square meters. It has formed a green space system with plant landscaping, large color block planting of flowers and tree clusters, flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons, which has effectively improved the ecological environment and provided a beautiful and comfortable leisure and entertainment place for the public

Laiyang is known as the pear town. In April and may every year, pear blossoms are in full bloom. Looking around, it looks like a piece of white snow. In addition to watching pear flowers and tasting Laiyang pear, it's even more exciting. Laiyang pear, also known as chili, is one of the three major specialties in Shandong Province, along with Yantai apple and Dezhou watermelon. Laiyang chili is a local unique pear variety which has been cultivated, bred and flower pinched by Laiyang farmers for many years. Laiyang pear has a history of more than 400 years. Laochili, which is more than 300 years old in Laiyang, still has luxuriant leaves and luxuriant branches. Its fruit is Leilei and its yield is about 500 kg.
Laiyang Chi pear is a middle and top grade pear with large fruit shape. Its pear is green yellow, rough skin and full of spots. It doesn't look beautiful, but it has thin skin, strong fragrance, tender meat, crisp residue, sugar content of about 8.5% and acid content of only 0.113%. Its flavor is unique and its quality is superior to other pear fruits.
Laiyang pear is not only delicious, but also appetizer, digestion, phlegm, lung, cough and other effects. Pear paste, dried pear, preserved pear and canned pear made from Laiyang chili are also popular among consumers.
Laiyang chili is mainly planted on both sides of the Wulong River and its tributaries in Laiyang City. It has sandy soil, thick soil layer, rich nutrients, good permeability, strong light reflection, and can make the leaves fully photosynthetic, which is very suitable for the cultivation of chili.
The area of pear orchard expanded rapidly and the yield increased continuously. Chili is not only sold in China, but also exported to Japan, Singapore, Canada and other countries. The "China Laiyang pear blossom festival" held every April 20 in Laiyang clam River Park fully reflects the local characteristics of Laiyang.
