Located in Chaoyang City, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, adjacent to dabeiyan, xiaobeiyan, which was founded in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), was repaired and expanded in 1995. It was approved to open in 1991. It is characterized by various stone carvings, rugged rocks, ancient trees covering the sky, and sweet Longquan. It has become a Buddhist and tourist attraction. In October 1993, Chaoyang County Government established it as a cultural relic protection unit.
Development history
Xiaobeiyan's main building, sitting north to south, together with the living room and dining room, covers an area of about 500 square meters. It was founded in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). After several collapses, it was rebuilt by Zheng Yehong and repaired by Chen Daopei and Xiao dewu in 1898. Bamboo and wood were widely planted to build pavilions, ponds and trees. Therefore, it is a famous scenic spot and protected by the government.
Due to many places, Lin Zongli was in disrepair for a long time. From Gengwu (1990) to Yichou (1995), Lin Zongli was relieved by GE Shanxin and gradually repaired and expanded. Now the temple has some construction or expansion projects, such as Daxiong hall, Liangxiang, Xuandi temple, dizang attic, fangshengchi, etc., with a total area of more than 1000 square meters, which has been listed as cultural relic protection by Chaoyang municipal government.
The plaque on the main hall door is engraved with "Zhentang". In 1898, the abbot, Zheng Yehong, rebuilt the city. This shows that it was once the land of Taoism. Today we offer three Tathagata. On the east side of the gate of the hall, there is a stone wall with two heads in relief, and the wall is engraved with: "Longquan. (that is to say, he was trained by Zheng jianwujian and written by Cai Guozhen in the north of the city). It's very interesting that a clear spring flows out of the tap all the year round.
There is another heaven and earth on the southeast side of the hall. First of all, we can see an ancient Xuandi temple, about 170 square meters. To the East is a two-story dizang Pavilion, about 250 square meters. At the back of the temple, there is a pool with stone inscriptions of "free pond, Chen Daopei". Trees, rocks and water embrace each other to form a beautiful scene. Therefore, there are stone inscriptions of "Xiao Penglai" and "soushi place" beside it. There is a narrow and deep stone cave in front of the east bank. The door is engraved with "Jiuqu cave", which is dark and few people enter. Xuandi temple in front of the cliff on the railing, wrote: "Ciyun widespread, FA Yu permanent residence.".
Xiaobeiyan, a famous scenic spot of "xiaopenglai", is full of ancient trees, rocks, caves, beautiful and colorful cultural relics, including 11 plaques, 11 CI carvings, 14 couplets, 2 poems and 5 historical monuments.
