Zhang Shanzhai
Zhangshanzhai is 16 kilometers southeast of the county, north of Zhaoxu village, Huyuan Township, and south of Yanmen. In the village, there is Chen Shisi temple, which was built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. The village is surrounded by strange rocks, dark pines and quiet environment. There are eagle rock, diaodan rock, Shayu rock, Guanyin cave, Xianjian rock, Jinzhong rock, shiziyan and Dishui rock.
It is said that in the 5th year of Jiaqing (, 800), Dongshan people (surnamed Zhang) and people surnamed Bao living in the village fought for the mountain area and had many fights. When the lawsuit came to the county, Gongsheng Jiang Shaoyan said to magistrate Liu Tingyi, "it's a small matter for Zhang Bao and his surname to be on the site, but it's a big matter for them to worship empress Chen Shishi. We should expand the site of temple worship." So Liuzhi County ordered Dongshan people to donate 30 Zhang of land around the main hall, and changed the name of zhangshanzhai to Xianshan temple. Daoguang four years (1824) expansion of the temple, county magistrate Lin Pengfei wrote.
The temple is dedicated to empress Chen Shi Niang (goddess in folklore in southern Zhejiang and Northern Fujian). The seventh day of the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar is Zhaoshan day (also known as zhangshanzhai Temple Fair).
