Erlian gate

Erlian gate is known as the north gate of China. Standing at the border between China and Mongolia, the gate is an orange multi-storey brick concrete structure, 106.5 meters away from the border line, with seven characters "people's Republic of China" embedded on the lintel. The tower is hollow and can be lifted up. The top of the building is elegant and bright, and is surrounded by a fence. Looking from the railings, you can see the exotic scenery of the Mongolian border city zhamen Wude with Russian architectural style, government office buildings, folk houses and Mongolian yurts in the north; looking from the east to the west, you can see the boundless prairie, which makes you feel relaxed and happy; looking from the south, you can see the style of Erlianhot, the Pearl of Northern Xinjiang. The China Mongolia train track is the main land transportation artery connecting Ulan Bator of Mongolia, Moscow of Russia and Beijing of China, known as the "Eurasian Continental Bridge". Standing on the border between China and Mongolia, the boundary markers 815 and 816 at Erlian zamenwude port are the only double number boundary markers at China's border station, which are 4.5km away from Erlianhot city and zamenwude city of Mongolia. The 40 year old boundary monument 357 along the border between China and Mongolia has completed its historical mission and has been retired (this boundary monument is now collected in the Chinese History Museum). Today, No. 815 (1), No. 815 (2), No. 816 (1) and No. 816 (2) are standing on both sides of the two railways. On both sides of the marble stele, there are gold-plated national emblems of the two countries, which are very impressive. Visitors can take a picture in front of this solemn and sacred monument.
