Introduction to scenic spots
According to textual research, Yang Zaisi (also known as Yang Huaiyu, Yang Wenhui), the third son of Yang LIULANG, a descendant of the Yang family general in the Northern Song Dynasty, ordered Pingnan to set up a camp here because of its dangerous terrain. As a result, shujiatang gradually became an important military area - a garrison camp. After the barbarians came back to China, it became an economic and cultural center at that time. Professor Luo Zhewen, an expert on the Great Wall studies, visited the castle in May 2000. Based on his research on the existing wall foundations, he concluded that the castle has a history of at least 800 years. During the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, the southern Miao people revolted. At that time, in order to suppress the uprising army, the government allocated more than 10000 taels of silver. It took four years to rebuild shujiatang and the surrounding ancient camp.
Scenic spots
Shujiatang ancient castle has two characteristics: one is ancient and wonderful. The wall is made of large pieces of bluestone with lime and glutinous rice mortar, with the heaviest stone block reaching 750 kg. The wall is zigzag and changeable. There are three gates in the city, which are located in the East, the South and the north. Among them, the east gate, which echoes wangpotun, is the largest. This gate is divided into two parts. There are attics on it for the city guards to guard. The rocks are solid and neat, easy to defend and hard to attack. It is an ancient barracks that can not be broken. Today, after thousands of years of ups and downs, although the old castle is dilapidated and black, it still shows a desolate beauty.
