Changlie Temple
Changlie temple was founded in the 1340s. "Changlie" is a Tibetan word, which means closed place. It is located on changlie mountain in malkang, the capital of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
Brief introduction to temples
Changlie temple has a vertical height of 900 meters and an altitude of 3400 meters from the SOMO River Valley. Founded in the 1340s, it belongs to the Ningma sect of Tibetan Buddhism and has a history of more than 800 years. It is one of the famous temples of Ningma school. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the cultural revolution. In the 1980s, it was rebuilt on the base of the old temple.
In 2004, not far from the old temple, a new grand hall with modern architectural style, Dajing hall, was built. The main body of the hall is a steel-concrete structure, and all the walls are made of granite. The main door of the hall is made of four huge dragon pillars carved with wisps of air, and four huge murals of four heavenly kings. There are four 20 meter high white marble square pillars in the hall All the wooden decoration materials in the hall are mahogany. The lighting of the hall is imported from Italy. The eight golden Buddhas in the hall are from Nepal. All the roofs are covered with gold. From afar, you can see the splendor!
The new temple is composed of a six storey main building, four monk dormitories, a temple hotel and a tourist reception room. The first floor of the main building is the Sutra hall, the second floor is the lecture hall, the third floor is the Sutra collection building, the fourth floor is the multimedia classroom, the fifth floor is the Golden Buddha Hall, the sixth floor is the exhibition hall, and the roof is the golden roof. The temple has a broad terrain and beautiful environment, with snow mountains, alpine meadows and virgin forests. A poem says, "the holy mountain in spring is beautiful with azaleas, the holy mountain in summer is green carpet, the holy mountain in autumn is colorful with forest, and the holy mountain in winter is Buddhist."
There are two paths from malkang county to changlie temple, both of which turn left to Tibet along the 107 national highway. The two paths start from the bottom of the valley and climb back and forth like a comb to changlie temple, which is about 3500 above sea level. The road is very narrow. Many places can only be passed by a small car, and some small cars need to turn back.
Historical evolution
In the 1340s, the learned xire of ningmamu temple and gatuo Temple returned the participants to Jiarong. Xire took part in the construction of a simple house on Mount yingboluo (now renamed changlieshan) and practiced for many years. Later, because more and more disciples came to learn Dharma, a temple named Lama Temple was built, which was later renamed changlie temple. There are two masters in the history of the temple, one is the living Buddha of Gadan Chiba and malkang temple, the first is the master of luosang donggenlunzhou, the second is the master of Gadan shar zhedandar. Today's glory of changlie Temple benefits from the wisdom of Yanban living Buddha in the temple. With his natural wisdom and admirable perseverance, changlie temple has collected a large number of donations in just a few years. Of course, it was completed with the care and help of the party and the government. As a result, the original Jiarong monastery was rebuilt a few years ago. It's a traditional and modern temple. Many years of overseas travel have made living Buddhas visit many parts of the world. In this highland, changlie Temple performs the wonders of the world, the prosperity of Sino Tibetan and even Europe and America, and is dedicated to the gods by devout craftsmen. In front of the hall, a few tall pillars are carved with dragons, and the hollowed out pan dragons embody the excellent skills of the sculptors. Will those vivid white jade dragons soar into the sky when we don't know, jump into the blue sky above our heads, and then dive into the surging rivers in the mountains of northern Sichuan, or go to the crystal clear sea to drink the sweet holy water of a lake? The traditional Tibetan lion still squats under the cushion of Baozhu. It is safe and powerful, just like a sacred beast protecting the Dharma, quietly guarding the peace and tranquility of the temple. The solemn gate of the hall is painted with the patterns of seven treasures and eight treasures in Tibetan Buddhism. Are the layers of clouds and petals just another portrayal of the complicated world? In the hall of more than 1000 square meters, which can hold more than 3000 people, there are many beautiful thangkas. Looking up at the colorful mandala on the dome of the hall above, looking around, people finally believe that they inadvertently broke into a "nine heaven Buddha kingdom" hidden in the mountains of the plateau.
