Chongzhou Confucian Temple
One of the four best preserved Confucian temples in Sichuan Province. National key cultural relics protection units. Confucius Cultural Center in Western China. It is located in the south of Chongzhou painting pool. It covers an area of more than ten mu, with an existing construction area of 2400 square meters.

Chongzhou Confucian temple is backed by the painting pool. It starts from the south entrance of nanmishi street in the South and ends at the South Bank of the painting pool in the north. Its central axis is about one mile long. On the central axis of nearly 500 meters, there are three archways, such as "wanshishibiao", "palace wall Wanren" Zhaobi, lingxingmen, guleting, panchi, Jimen, Dacheng hall, Zhonggulou, Qisheng hall, zunjingge and other main structures and buildings, which are magnificent and magnificent.
Since the 1980s, the government has allocated funds for the maintenance of the Confucian temple. More than 60 statues of Confucius and his parents and disciples have been carved in Dacheng hall, Qisheng hall and the East and West veranda. More than 100 quotations of Confucius have been engraved on both sides of the Lingxing gate to publicize the thoughts of Confucius, praise the style of Confucius and describe the development of Confucianism. Since 1999, the International Confucius Cultural Festival has been held every September before and after the birth of Confucius.

Laozi Temple: the place where Chinese thought develops
Laozi Temple (point) in Chongzhou city (Shuchuan in Han Dynasty and Shuzhou in Tang Dynasty) is the place to carry forward the thoughts of the world. It was built in Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. It is also called "Laozu hall" or "Laozi Palace". There are stone inscriptions of Laozi's Tao Te Ching and documents about Laozi. In front of the palace, there is Wenli lane, which is said to be the place where Confucius asked Laozi for rites. In the Ming Dynasty, the feudal rule worshiped Confucianism. At the beginning of Hongwu Period in Ming Dynasty, Laozi hall was renamed "cimao for Taizu" as "Confucius Confucian Temple". In 1516, it was overhauled and began to take shape. The existing buildings were rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, then the Qing Dynasty perished and the feudal thought ended.
Laozi temple was built in 686 A.D. from the prosperous Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties (the second year of Wu Zetian's hanging arch). At that time, the Tang Dynasty believed in Taoism and built it in memory of the Taoist ancestors. Laozi temple was built at the site of Laozi's Taoist Scriptures (Laozi point). The economy and culture of Tang Dynasty developed to the peak of Chinese culture. Chongzhou Confucian temple is a historical record.
