Shizishan Forest Park is adjacent to Wanzai, Jiangxi Province in the East, Hu Yaobang's former residence in Zhonghe town in the south, gufengdong in gugang town in the west, Daweishan National Forest Park in the north, 47 km away from Liuyang City, and only 8 km away from Guandu interchange of Daliu expressway.

Introduction to scenic spots

The main scenic spots are Shishan temple, Aoshan Puji temple, Liuyang lake, nanjiacao folk village, Guihua River, Kunlun waterfall, turtle frog, crystal stone, forest bathing beach, etc. it retains a good ecological environment and natural features, and is a comprehensive first-class scenic spot integrating water scenery, mountain scenery, cultural relics, folk customs, meteorological landscape and rich animal and plant resources. It was officially approved to establish Hunan Provincial Forest Park.

History and Humanities

On the right side of lion mountain is lion mountain immortal temple. Shizishan immortal temple is the combined name of Chen Dazhen temple and Yang Xiaozi temple. Chenda Zhenren temple was originally Shiya Zhenren temple. It was first built in 1888 and then rebuilt in 1897. In April 1930, the first conference of workers, peasants and soldiers of Liuyang County was held in Xianren temple, leaving the footprints of Mao Zedong, Peng Dehuai, Zhang Qilong, Li Zhen and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation.

Lanjiazhai

Along the lion's head is nanjiacao, where there is a beautiful and magical cottage - lanjiazhai. It is a scenic spot with precipitous terrain, beautiful mountains and rivers. It is a collection of strange rocks, mountains, peaks, waterfalls, ancient bridges, ancient trees and rich and colorful Hakka culture. Kunlun Valley waterfall, Red Army cave, lion play turtle are rare attractions.

Liuyang Lake

The most exciting thing here is Liuyang lake. Also known as Zhushuqiao reservoir, it is the largest artificial lake in Changsha. On August 29, 2010, Zhushuqiao reservoir water diversion project officially supplied water to Changsha. The Puji temple and Guanyin Temple in Aoshan mountain are built close to the mountain. The mountains are majestic, with steep rocks, cliffs and precipitous cliffs. There is a cave in the cliff, surrounded by clouds and mist, warm in winter and cool in summer.
