Thin strip of sky

Taishan geological landscape, in the west of Taohuayuan parking lot, two peaks face each other, the middle line, people can pass through. Chilin stream

From the Caishi River parking point is the Chilin River parking point. Walking along the stream, you can see that the water in the stream is clear, and the wild red scale fish play in the stream, so it is called "red scale stream".

Red scale fish is a rare species in Mount Tai. It lives in the water of Mount Tai stream at an altitude of 300-800 meters. The adult fish is less than 20cm long and weighs no more than 50g. The scales are fine and compact, with a light blue back and white belly. The scales on the side of the body are yellowish. There is a golden line in the middle and a red tail. It has the ability of color changing and self-protection. It has the habit of swimming in the daytime and at night. It was once a tribute of the Qing Dynasty.

Huangshiya

Huangshiya, also known as "huangchiya" on the north side of the highway, can be visited as "the outcrop of longjiaoshan fault". The fault strikes 320 ° northwest and inclines to 80 ° southwest. The intrusive contact surface of aolaishan monzonitic granite and Taishan Group amphibolite is faulted. The hanging wall rises and the footwall falls, showing the form of thrust fault. There are two dextral lenses and schistose amphibolite blocks along the section. The structural joint planes of monzonitic granite on both sides of the fault are developed, and the cliff landform of Huangshi rock is formed.

Yuanbao

Next to the Diaoyutai, there is a big stone, like a big buckled Yuanbao, which was called "Shizhou" and "yuanbaoshi" in ancient times. The peak in the south is called Jinjiling. The rocks are stacked like a rooster crowing. The spring in the southeast is a "one-line spring", and the spring in the stream is hanging like a silver line.

Tianma pool

On one side of the taohuayu tourist road, there is a huge stone in the water, which is shaped like a heavenly horse. This place is called Tianma pool.

Yuanjun Temple

There is Yuanjun temple in taohuayukou, which is the westbound palace of Mount Tai goddess. In the temple, the ancient cypresses are towering and the flowers and plants are luxuriant. It is the only temple on Mount Tai with its gate facing west. In the courtyard, the two cypress trees and pine trees are opposite each other. They are luxuriant and spiral like dragons and phoenixes. People call them "dragon cypresses and phoenixes". These two ancient trees are tied with a lot of red cloth, and there are many small stones on the branches. This is the custom of "abzi" on Mount Tai. The ancients believed that as long as a stone was placed on the branch of a tree around the temple of Mount Tai, one could get pregnant and have a child as soon as possible. In recent years, Taishan beggars have tied a red cloth to the tree after holding the clay doll. It's called "embolus"; some people put a stone on the branch of a tree, which is called "abzi" in ancient times. The red strips on the trees and the stones between the branches fully illustrate the ancient and continuous inheritance of this custom.

The main hall is dedicated to the goddess of Mount Tai, Bixia Yuanjun. The right side hall is dedicated to Tianguan, diguan and Shuiguan. The left side hall is dedicated to Guandi, Wenquxing and Shouxing. Bixia Yuanjun is the goddess of Mount Tai, commonly known as "Taishan granny". There are many Yuanjun temples up and down Mount Tai, with Bixia temple at the top of the mountain as the main temple. What we see is one of Bixia Yuanjun's palaces. There are two reasons why people respect Bixia Yuanjun: first, it is inseparable from Yuanjun's duties. In 1593, Wang xijue recorded in the stele of Bixia palace in Dongyue: "Yuanjun can bring benefits to all living beings as he wishes. The poor wish to be rich, the sick wish to be safe, the tiller wish to be old, the Jia wish to rest, the living wish to be old, the childless wish to inherit, the son wish to be relatives, the younger brother wish to be brothers, the relatives wish to be rich, and the God also wishes to be sincere." From this, we can see that Bixia Yuanjun is able to do everything in the people's psychological level. Secondly, as an approachable, amiable and philanthropic goddess, Bixia Yuanjun made the working people feel more friendly, and thus became a loving mother and virgin in the eyes of the people. Every year, March 15 of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Bixia Yuanjun. There are an endless stream of good men and women who come to Mount Tai to worship Bixia Yuanjun, and the incense is very strong.
