Guilin Botanical Garden, founded in 1958, is one of the botanical gardens established under the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, covering an area of 73 hectares. Development history
Guilin Botanical Garden, founded in 1958, is one of the top ten botanical gardens established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was founded by famous botanists Chen Huanyong and Zhong Jixin. In the 1960s, it was under the leadership of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1996, it was under the dual leadership of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and implemented the integrated system of Research Institute and botanical garden.

Rhododendron Garden
Covering an area of 4.1 hectares, the Rhododendron Garden was built in 2000. Peach Garden
Peach garden is located in the south of bamboo garden, covering an area of 1.5 hectares. Many Sapium sebiferum varieties are planted in the garden. The combination of Sapium sebiferum and peach blossom makes it possible to enjoy the beauty of peach blossom in spring and the warmth of red leaves of Sapium sebiferum in autumn. Jinhua tea garden
Camellia chrysantha is a famous ornamental plant, mainly distributed in Guangxi. Its petals are golden yellow, waxy, beautiful and elegant. It is unique among the rare camellia flowers and enjoys the reputation of "Queen of tea clan". Jinhua tea garden covers an area of 0.8 hectares. Guangxi is rich in plant resources. There are more than 860 species of endemic plants, most of which have narrow distribution, special habitat and few resources. Guangxi endemic plant area was founded in 2005, covering an area of 2.7 hectares. It mainly collects and preserves Guangxi endemic plants.
