History and culture
Family history
There may be many families living in Ku village, but Bao and Wu families are undoubtedly the most influential. These two families created an unprecedented atmosphere of farming and reading in Ku village, and made great contributions to the development of education and culture in the Song Dynasty, especially in the Southern Song Dynasty. Before the Tang Dynasty, today's taishunjing was still a wild and old forest in the mountains. Only a few ancient Yue adherents and early hermits lived in it, living a life of mutual contact.
In 812, Bao Quan moved from Kuaijishan to jinku village in Taishun. In the fourth year of qianning in Tang Dynasty (896), Wu Qi, an official of remonstrance, also lived in seclusion here. After Bao Quan and Wu Qi went to the bottom of Baiyun Mountain one after another, kaitaishun was the pioneer of farming and reading culture. For more than 1000 years, their descendants flourished. With Ku village at the bottom of Baiyun Mountain as the center, many villages with Bao or Wu surnames were formed around ten li. In the long process of family development, the descendants of the two surnames carried forward and established three academies successively. They regarded farming and reading as the treasure of their families and passed on from generation to generation. According to the county annals, there were 82 civil and military Jinshi in the Tang, Five Dynasties and Song Dynasties, and the descendants of Wu family in Ku village alone accounted for 19 in the two Song dynasties.
Historical buildings
The layout of Ku village follows the characteristics of the Tang and Song dynasties. Its unique cobblestone ground and gables will leave a deep impression on you. Shiyingmen. Ku village is divided into two small villages, Wu house in the East and Bao house in the West. Shiyingmen, also known as stone gate tower, is built of stone. In front of the gate, there are stone accessories such as Shangma stone, Xiama stone and benches. In the ancient administrative division system, there were 25 families designated as one Lu. Shiying gate is actually equivalent to Lu gate. In front of Shiying's gate is a cobble road running through Wu's house and Bao's house. On the east side of the road stands an ancient cypress. The villagers say that it was planted by Wu Qi, the ancestor of that year. It should have a history of more than 1000 years. After turning the corner ahead, you enter the cobblestone world. The whole village seems to be a castle made of cobblestones.
The crisscross roads in the village are all paved with cobblestones, and the two sides of the cobblestone road are also the same cobblestone walls. Because it has to bear a lot of pressure, the foot of the wall is much wider than the top of the wall, and the height of the pebble is also large at the bottom and small at the top. Some of the pebble walls are black because of the rain all the year round, but most of them can still keep their original color. However, after hundreds of years of wind, frost, snow and moon, they peel off slightly and show some vicissitudes.
There are few wing rooms in the courtyard of Ku village, which is replaced by high cobblestone walls, so the courtyard is very spacious. Some owners think that the yard is too big, so they set up a small garden near the root of the tall stone wall. Its function is roughly the same as the flower terrace mentioned above. The houses here are built of plain wood, without exquisite wood carvings. Everything seems natural and practical. We arrived at Qingyin well. The well head of Qingyin well is a square made of four stones. The well head is large and can be used for two people to draw water at the same time. Three words "qingyinjing" are engraved on the lower part of the retaining wall, which is conducive to the stability of writing. The villagers said that the well was dug by Wu Qi himself, and the word was also written by Wu Qi himself.
Historical relics
Shide hall. Shide hall has a nickname of "Wai Han Di", whose status is the largest among the existing dwellings. As for why it is also called "waihandi", the master told me that his great ancestor, Baohan, was a year old tribute in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. He once served as a teacher in shouchang County, and was an imperial scholar in the Qing Dynasty. On the wooden door frame, there is a wooden sign with three gold characters of "waihan Di".
A sign with white characters on a red background was hung under the rafters on the forehead, and the four characters of "Qin Jing Jie Xiao" were written vertically. The owner said that the object of the sign was Gao Zu's mother, who married to Bao's family at the age of 21 and lost her husband three months later. She didn't want to remarry and was determined to keep the festival. Later, the imperial court granted the title of "Qinjing Jiexiao" and established the jiexiaofang. During the cultural revolution, jiexiaofang was destroyed. According to the shape of the stone plaque, the family copied one with wooden material and hung it on the doorstep to commemorate it. Another memorial is the blue stone signboard beside the gatehouse. The imperial edict was originally placed in the top center of the archway. After the archway was destroyed, only this imperial edict was left, which was regarded as the last glory of the family.
