Jiangwan Village

Jiangwan is an ancient village with rich Huizhou culture, located in the northeast of Wuyuan County. It is famous for being the hometown of former national leader Jiang Zemin. There are not only well preserved official residences of Ming and Qing Dynasties such as yushifu and zhongxiandi, but also Hui style commercial residences such as Teng's old house and peixintang, as well as the Sutra hall taught by Jiangyong, four ancient gate pavilions such as Donghe, Nanguan, Xi'an and BeiYao, Yuefei bridge built by Yue Wumu, jianquanjing of Ming Dynasty, etc. Jiangwan is more grand than other small villages such as Likeng and Wangkou. There is the famous Xiaojiang ancestral hall, which was once known as the "best ancestral hall" among the 70 famous ancestral halls in the south of the Yangtze River. It is the first of the four ancient buildings in Wuyuan. It has a large scale, magnificent architecture, fine carving, rich humanities and a long history, showing the royal style.

Jiangwan Village

Jiangwan village is located in the south of Chefang, Luzhi Town, Wuzhong District, close to the industrial park, at the intersection of inner and outer ports of Suzhou and Shenzhou, with superior geographical environment and convenient transportation, 12 kilometers away from Suzhou.

In July 2000, Jiangtian village and Dongwan village were removed and named Jiangwan village after Jiangtian village and Dongwan village. Jiangwan village is located in the south of Chefang, Luzhi Town, Wuzhong District, close to the industrial park, at the intersection of inner and outer ports of Suzhou and Shenzhou, with superior geographical environment and convenient transportation, 12 kilometers away from Suzhou. The river is crisscross with Wusong River in the East and Taihu Lake in the West. The total area of the village is 5.3 square kilometers, the total area of cultivated land is 4780 mu, and the registered residence population of the whole village is 864, with a total population of 3026, of whom 1865 are agricultural labor force. The village level stable income of the whole village is over 5 million yuan, and the disposable financial resources are nearly 10 million yuan. Aquatic vegetables are the traditional industry of Jiangwan village. The main varieties planted in the village are lotus root, water chestnut, arrowhead, water bamboo, water celery, Euryale ferox, etc. the income from aquatic vegetables is the main source of income for farmers. In 2017, the base produced 18000 tons of aquatic vegetables, with a total sales of 90 million yuan. CCTV, Suzhou TV and Suzhou daily have reported that "Eight Immortals of water" have become "Eight Immortals of gold" for farmers to become rich.

Aquatic vegetable is a traditional industry in Jiangwan village. The main varieties planted in the village are lotus root, water chestnut, Cigu, Zizania latifolia, water celery, Euryale ferox, etc. the income of aquatic vegetable is the main source of income for farmers. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of economic benefits, the production scale has developed rapidly, and the enthusiasm of the masses to plant aquatic vegetables is very high, and the area is constantly expanding. In 2007, the agricultural products professional cooperative was established with a registered capital of 4.96 million yuan. In 2009, the asset stock cooperative was established. Driven by the cooperative, we have unified management, strengthened service, and comprehensively produced according to the pollution-free standard. The product quality has been greatly improved, and the industrial demonstration base has initially formed. Suzhou TV station and Suzhou Daily reported one after another that "Eight Immortals of water" became "Eight Immortals of gold" for farmers to become rich.

Jiangwan village will, in three years, take Jiangwan modern agricultural aquatic vegetable industrial base 5000 as the core area, radiate 5000 mu to surrounding villages, and build Jiangwan high-efficiency agriculture 10000 mu "shuibaxian" industrial demonstration zone in Wuzhong District of Suzhou city. The first is to form five functional areas: breeding area, trading area, processing area, agricultural landscape area and new rural construction demonstration area. Second, through the professional cooperation of Jiangwan agricultural products, we should explore a set of production and marketing integrated management mode with the management mode of cooperative + base + farmers. It has become the only high standard agricultural aquatic vegetable "shuibaxian" demonstration area in Suzhou. We should build a green and ecological Jiangwan, and drive the pace of new rural construction of the whole village with high standard agricultural "shuibaxian" industry.
