The ancient residential buildings preserved in kaoshui are all Huizhou style, with horse head walls, cornices and corners, carved beams and painted buildings, exquisite, vivid figures, flowers, birds and animals. The renovation bridge was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. There are pavilions on the bridge. The pavilion couplet says: "the bridge pavilion is elegant, the villa is suspected, and the liaoge Pavilion is towering, covering the door of the village", which is convenient for travel and rest for farmers. The eye-catching Tomb of the prince has a history of 102 years and is still well preserved. The tomb is located in huangdujuan and Bagua mausoleum, one mile away from the village. The big stone tablet in front of the tomb is engraved with eight seal characters: "the tomb of Hu Gong, the founder of Mingjing". The exfoliated spots and cracks of the stone tablet record the rain, snow, wind and frost for thousands of years. After many dynasties, it is still as old as before. It is a rare historic site in the world.

Kaoshui village was built at the end of Tang Dynasty (904 AD), more than 1000 years ago. Kaoshui village was originally a subordinate administrative village of Gaosha Township in Wuyuan County. Not long ago, the township was withdrawn and the town was merged into Ziyang town. Although it is not far from the prosperous county town, entering kaoshui village is like entering a paradise. A clear river bottoms out. A corridor bridge at the entrance of kaoshui village arches the north and south of the stream, with black tiles and white walls. The word "reform bridge" is free of dust and dirt. The ox riding and herding boy beside the water and grass, the woman washing clothes on the water quay all become the scenery of green mountains and green waters.

Kaoshui village has three streets: Front Street, middle street and back street. The fengshui of the three streets are quite different. It is said that there are rich people in the front street, high officials in the middle street and cloth clothes in the back street. Because of this, people compete to choose the middle street and the front street. According to the history of the village, the foundation of the middle street rose to 1000 pieces of ocean per square meter during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. As a result, the back street gradually withered and fell, leaving a section of the ruins. There are jinshidi, Wenchang Pavilion, Junma tower and Wenbi desk in the middle street, all of which are official residences of the Qing Dynasty. "A seal on Shanghai road is less than a letter on kaoshuizhong street.". This sentence makes kaoshui people proud and has been handed down for more than ten generations. Hu Xueyan, a businessman from Hongding in the Qing Dynasty, Hu Guansan, a great businessman from the south of the Yangtze River, Hu Kaiwen, a calligraphy and ink family, Hu Qingyu, the emperor of traditional Chinese medicine, and Hu Shi, a cultural magnate, were also born.
