China Ceramics Museum
China Ceramic Museum is located in the cultural square of Zibo City Center. In April 2001, it was built on the basis of Zibo exhibition hall through large-scale investment and transformation, and designed by the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University. It is a comprehensive modern ceramic Museum integrating display, exhibition, collection, research, sales and social education.
Introduction of Ceramic Museum
Ceramics are the symbol of Chinese civilization. China is the hometown of ceramics. With its unique charm, Chinese ceramics have been spread all over the world and become a bright pearl in the world's cultural and artistic treasure house. Approved by the relevant departments of the state, the "China Ceramics Museum" is elaborately designed by Tsinghua University, with a total area of 10000 square meters. It is divided into two parts: display and sales. The exhibition part includes preface hall, comprehensive hall, ancient hall, modern hall, folk hall, high-tech hall, international hall, ceramic art hall and high-tech ceramics. It comprehensively displays ceramic cultural relics of various historical periods and masterpieces of ceramic art of various ceramic producing areas in China, totaling more than 10000 pieces (sets). Among them, there are more than 500 ancient exhibits, which focus on the ceramic cultural relics produced, unearthed and collected in Zibo in the past 8000 years. There are more than 9500 modern exhibits, including more than 120 representative works of 48 contemporary Chinese arts and crafts masters and 35 Chinese ceramic art masters, more than 500 fine art works of more than 50 provincial masters, and more than 500 fine art works of famous ceramic artists from the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions. The business part is mainly composed of ceramic business department, ceramic gift center and leisure ceramic bar. In the leisure ceramic bar, visitors can make it on site and enjoy the pleasure of ceramic art creation. When you enter the ceramic art business department, you can have a panoramic view of the ceramic products in the national ceramic production areas.
Since its opening in September 2002, the China Ceramics Museum has increasingly won the favor of Chinese and foreign tourists for its profound cultural connotation and unique artistic charm. It has received more than 2 million Chinese and foreign visitors including party and state leaders such as Jiang Zemin, Huang Ju, Wu Guanzheng, Li Tieying, Jiang Chunyun, as well as students from middle and primary schools. Zibo is the birthplace of Qi culture and one of the five major ceramic producing areas in China. Ceramic production has a long history and plays an important role in China. According to historical records and archaeological excavations, ceramic production began in Zibo area as early as 8000 years ago during the period of "post Li Culture". At the beginning of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the state of Qi set up a special "Tao Zheng" official to manage the production of pottery, and set up a Pottery Workshop in the capital city of Qi to engage in the professional production of pottery. Around the Wei, Jin and southern and Northern Dynasties, the ceramic production in Zibo area completed the transition from pottery to porcelain. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, ceramic production techniques were increasingly refined and the scale was expanding.

After the founding of new China, on the basis of inheriting and carrying forward the traditional skills, Zibo Ceramics, based on local resources, explored and innovated, developed new kinds of ceramics, such as talcum porcelain, high feldspar porcelain, high quartz porcelain, bone porcelain and so on. The carving art is unique, forming a new characteristic of Zibo Ceramics. Daily ceramics, art ceramics, industrial ceramics and architectural ceramics have developed rapidly, and the products are very popular It has been sold to more than 70 countries and regions in the world. Making white jade is a kind of medicine for the development of China's ceramic production technology and ceramic art. At present, it is one of the modern ceramic museums with the largest exhibition area, the most complete variety and the highest exhibition level in China. The ceramic themed half view painting in the comprehensive exhibition hall is 4 meters high and 30 meters long. The ancient exhibition hall is simple and elegant, with a collection of more than 450 national precious cultural relics and ancient treasures.
The modern hall and the international hall are simple and lively, bringing together more than 2600 pieces of representative works of contemporary Chinese masters of Arts and crafts, ceramic artists and famous ceramic artists from the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions. The high-tech ceramics hall integrates universality, interest and participation, and adopts the modern display technology of sound, light, electricity, image, virtual reality and simulation to comprehensively display the latest R & D achievements of new ceramic materials in six fields, such as space, military, environment, life science and power energy. The business part is mainly composed of ceramic business department, ceramic painting and calligraphy auction hall and leisure ceramic bar.
Ticket Price
According to the zijiazi No. 31 document of Zibo Price Bureau, the ticket price of Zibo China Ceramics Museum is 40 yuan per person per piece. Preferential price of admission: preferential price for the following personnel. College students, the elderly (over 60 years old), extremely poor workers and active servicemen will be charged half price with valid certificates, that is, 20 yuan per person per piece. For primary and secondary school students, 10 yuan per person per card is required. Children under 1.2 meters tall and disabled people are free to visit. The price of explanation fee of Zibo China Ceramics Museum is 30 yuan / time (adhere to the principle of voluntary visitors). The above ticket price includes all the exhibits in the museum and is the final price for selling tickets to visitors.
