During the Japanese invasion of China in World War II, a large number of Portuguese from Shanghai had difficulty coming to Macao. The existing area of Pozi house art space is about 1300 square meters. It consists of two old Portuguese two-story buildings across the courtyard, with 32 rooms of about 16 square meters in size. There is a small house between the two buildings. Fifty years ago, it was a mortuary. At that time, there were not many hospitals in Macao. The funeral ceremony was held in this small bungalow when the residents of Pozi house died. Later, the mortuary was transformed into a dining hall for mothers in law. Now, it is transformed into an exhibition hall with an area of 53.4 square meters. It can also be used as a place for lectures and film screening.
