Zixishan Forest Park
Zixishan Forest Park is the largest natural park in Yunnan Province, located in the southwest of Chuxiong City. It is more than 20 kilometers away from the urban area. Beside the 320 national highway, the scenic area covers a total area of 16000 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 96%. The main peak is 2500 meters above sea level.

Zixi mountain is rich in Camellia. According to the research of contemporary botanists, there were artificial Camellia planted in the mountains at least 1000 years ago. The existing "tongzimian", a tree with two colors of flowers, red flowers first and white flowers later, has become a wonder of Camellia. It is the earliest known artificial Camellia in China. Zixi Camellia not only has early age, but also has many varieties and complete colors, ranking second to none in Central Yunnan. The folk saying that "Yunnan camellia is the best in the world, and Zixi camellia is the best in Yunnan" should not be false.
Main attractions
Zixi mountain was once a famous Buddhist holy land in Central Yunnan. There are many ancient temples in the mountains, and there are some famous scholars and eminent monks in the past dynasties. In history, Zixi mountain was famous for 66 forests, 77 temples and 88 temples, but most of them were destroyed later. At present, ziding temple is the largest temple in Chuxiong Prefecture. Ziding temple is composed of Mountain Gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Sutra library. It has a certain scale and worships Maitreya Buddha. The existing cliff stone inscription "HUFA Ming Gongde yunbei" has become an important historical material of Yunnan. In recent years, there are ancient temples in the mountains. Facing the thick fog, along the mountain path, we came to the purple top temple. Ziding temple is composed of Mountain Gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Sutra library. It has a certain scale and worships Maitreya Buddha. According to the old nun, ziding temple is the largest temple in Chuxiong Prefecture, with a lot of incense. In order to make full use of the tourism resources of Zixi mountain, the relevant departments have built ziding temple and wansonglin villa. Ziding temple has mountain gate, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, sutra library, etc.; from Zixi peak to the south along the ridge, there are xianggudi, monk chessboard, observation platform, etc. the observation platform is an ideal place to watch the surrounding scenery and sunrise.
If you want to explore Zixi mountain, you can go to immortal Valley, wansonglin, deyunbei, Songhe forest, etc. The 1200 mu tea garden and 1500 mu Rhododendron Garden are rare in China. Peony Garden, rose garden, hundred bird garden and holiday village will be built soon. Zixi mountain is full of flowers and ancient trees all the year round. Around the Spring Festival, camellia and Rosa laevigata are everywhere. It's like a big natural garden. Visitors come here in droves to see it.
