Guyiyuan is the alias of guyiyuan in Nanxiang. It is located in Nanxiang Town, Jiading District, northwest suburb of Shanghai. It covers an area of 10 hectares. It was first built in 1522-1566 in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. It was originally named Yiyuan, which means "green bamboo ripples". Later, it was carefully designed by Zhu Sansong, a bamboo Carver in Jiading, and built on the scale of "ten Mu garden", with various bamboo scenes carved on the columns, rafters and corridors, which is vivid and elegant.
