Xiaoti cliff

Xiaoti cliff is one of the famous scenic spots in Changsha, Hunan Province. On the mountain to the right of Baihe spring, the terrain here is strange, the path is curved, the trees are long bell, and the cliff is stone.

Changsha Xiaoti cliff is located on the mountain on the right side of Baihe spring. The terrain here is unique, with withered vines and old trees everywhere. There is a story about the laughter and crying.

Once upon a time, there lived a young man named Ge Ren by the white crane spring. He lived alone and depended on hunting for a living. One day, when he got home, he heard a girl chirping. He came into the room with food on the table, but there was no one. He was very strange. When he went to the backyard, he saw some girls in red making noise. A girl said that my sister admired elder brother GE's character so much that we came to accompany her to get married with him. Ge Ren was very surprised to see such a beautiful girl. He didn't know what to do. After everyone sat down and drank the wedding wine, all the other girls left. Ge Ren and the bride were very happy. The chicken crowed three times, and the bride got up to leave. Ge Ren couldn't stay. She promised to come back the next day and have fun every night until dawn.

On the first day of March, when she came, she was very sad. She asked her, "I'm YINGSHANHONG on the cliff behind my house. I've broken the rules of Huashen and will be punished tomorrow.". Ge Ren wiped away her tears and said: don't worry, I will help you out. After the lady left, at dawn, Ge Ren Ran to the red mountain. Which one is the lady? My wife stayed with me all night. It must be the one without dew. He remembered her instructions, took off the YINGSHANHONG tree, put it in his arms, ran home and hid it in the wardrobe. At noon, there was a sudden lightning flash and thunder, a storm, and a flash of lightning came. He forced himself against the cabinet. After several rounds, he almost fainted and supported the rain. That YINGSHANHONG restored the original appearance of her mother, and they were very affectionate. Every time Ge Ren comes back from hunting and passes through the cliff, he cackles at YINGSHANHONG and cuts the cliff with laughter. Later, she gave birth to a fat boy named Yuanzhu. When she was at the full moon, she was holding Yuanzhu for fun when she met Huashen, who was visiting the lower world. She was so angry that she waved her hand to split the rock and pressed her at the bottom of the cliff.

Yuanzhu was ten years old and had not seen his mother. He went to ask his aunt next door, only to find out that his mother was under the rock. At night, he ran to the cliff alone and heard the whimper. In a fit of anger, he bumped into the rock. Soon, where Yuanzhu died, a small Castanopsis carlesii tree grew in the crack of the cliff. The cliff held it tightly, and the Castanopsis carlesii was Yuanzhu. It is said that his mother raised it into a towering tree with milk.

It is said that a long time ago, there lived a young hunter named Ge Ren. His hardworking simplicity won the admiration of Huaxian. Huaxian goes to ge Ren's house every night to take care of the housework. She falls in love with each other for a long time and forms a husband and wife.

In the second year, he got the name of Yuanzhu, which was a great happiness for his family. Every time Ge Ren came back from hunting, he would smile when he stood at the top of the cliff and saw his happy home. The laughter would linger in the valley for a long time. Soon after Shi Huaxian's birthday, Ge Ren didn't come back and Huaxian was unprepared. In an instant, he was driven into the bottom of the cliff by Raytheon. Huaxian miss her husband and son and cry at the bottom of the cliff every night. Yuanzhu is slightly larger. Hearing his mother's tragedy and crying, he broke his heart and cracked his liver. He hit the cliff with his head and died. Blood flowed into the crevice of the cliff, and then a Castanopsis carlesii tree grew up.

This cliff reflects Ge Ren's smile and Huaxian's cry. At dusk, its voice lingers in the ear. At night, it sounds like a smile but not a smile, so it's called Xiaoti cliff.
