Chen Yi's hometown scenic spot, built in the early years of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty, is one of the 100 classic red tourism scenic spots in China. It is the first stop of Sichuan generals' hometown. The planning area of the scenic spot is 190 hectares, and the core scenic spot has been built with an area of more than 40 hectares. There are more than 40 scenic spots in the scenic spot, such as Chen Yi's former residence, Chen Yi memorial hall, Chen Yi's former residence cultural relics exhibition hall, YUFENGTAI, Dexin garden, Qitang yingyue, etc. it is an important scenic spot integrating gardens, scenery and memorial hall, and also a good place for people to look forward to their ancestors and appreciate the characteristics of folk houses in Central Sichuan. A bronze statue of Marshal Chen Yi presented by the Central Military Commission was placed in the exhibition hall, and Comrade Jiang Zemin inscribed "Marshal Chen Yi" in his own book. In order to speed up the pace of building red tourism and enhance the tourism attraction of our county, the county Party committee and the county government set the goal of creating Chen Yi's former residence as a national AAAA tourist attraction. Combined with the current situation and characteristics of the scenic spot, the construction plan and scheme of the scenic spot are compiled from a high starting point. The overall planning of the scenic spot is 190 hectares, and the detailed planning is 44.85 hectares. The construction area of the national AAAA scenic spot is about 20 hectares, and more than 83 million yuan is invested to rebuild the infrastructure of the scenic spot.

From 2006 to 2007, 18 million yuan was invested to implement the first phase project of the scenic spot, and the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure and environmental improvement of the core scenic spot were completed.

From 2008 to 2009, more than 30 million yuan was invested in the construction of the fast track from the county seat to the scenic spot.

In 2009, in order to speed up the pace of building red tourism and enhance the tourism attraction of our county, the county Party committee and the county government set the goal of building Chen Yi's former residence scenic spot into a national AAAA scenic spot, invested 35 million yuan to implement the second phase project of the scenic spot, and completed the tourist center, economic hotel, large relief, theme square, theme garden, memorial Avenue, car walk, ecological parking lot and tourist attraction More than 40 scenic spots, such as tourist toilets, signs, safety facilities, garbage disposal, and infrastructure and supporting facilities construction.

Former residence of Chen Yi

Chen Yi's former residence is located in zhenggouwan, Laodong Township, 17.5km north of Lezhi county. It was built in the early years of Qianlong (emperor Chen Yi bought the foundation in the year of Emperor Qianlong's Dingmao) in Qing Dynasty. It is a wooden tenon structure of triple hall quadrangle courtyard, with a construction area of 750 square meters. There are 36 large and small houses, with a total area of 1026 square meters. The houses sit West to East. On July 10, 1980, the people's Government of Sichuan Province announced Chen Yi's former residence as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, and allocated funds for maintenance. After the restoration, it was opened to the outside world. In the center of the front door of Chen Yi's former residence is a plaque inscribed "Chen Yi's former residence" written by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, and on both sides is a couplet written by Mr. Zhao Puchu, chairman of the National Buddhist Association. The white marble statues of Chen Yi and Zhang Qian are placed on the left side of the courtyard. In the former residence, Chen Yi's life and study in his youth are mainly displayed in kind. In the preface hall, there are inscriptions by Zhu De and Dong Biwu and precious works by famous painters and calligraphers all over the country

The exhibition hall of Chen Yi's life story, built in Meishan 200 meters away from Chen Yi's former residence, was built in the style of Suzhou Hangzhou garden architecture. The exhibition hall is surrounded by a 500 meter long stone wall, surrounded by green bamboos, osmanthus trees and fruit trees.
