Qujiang cultural and sports park is located in the core area of CCBD (central cultural and business district) of Qujiang New Area Phase II in Xi'an. The construction started in March 2016, and the park was put into operation in October 2017.

Park overview

Qujiang cultural and sports park is located in the core area of CCBD (central cultural and business district) of Qujiang New Area Phase II, adjacent to the south section of East Qujiang Chi road in the west, Jinyang road in the north and creative Avenue in the south, with a total area of 131000 square meters. Together with Tang Furong garden, qujiangchi site park and Qin II site park, it forms the landscape axis of qujiangnan to the north. Focusing on the theme of sports, the park intends to improve the quality of the city with the design concept of internationalization, human culture and ecology, and make due contributions to the construction of "quality Xi'an". After the completion of the park, it is expected to receive 1.5 million tourists a year, and can accommodate 2000 people to participate in various sports activities at the same time.

In the center of the park, combined with the current terrain, the concept of sponge city is introduced, the low impact development mode is followed, the comprehensive utilization of rainwater is carried out, and the multi-level sponge body with the functions of water absorption, water storage, water purification and water release is constructed, so as to reduce the drainage to the urban pipe network and save water resources. Realize "source dispersion" and "slow release", and let the park breathe freely like an ecological sponge.

The park uses the underground space on the south side to carry out civil air defense construction. The civil air defense project is a two-story underground layout, which is used as a shelter and material storage in wartime, and as a public parking lot and park supporting facilities in peacetime, so as to enrich and improve the city supporting functions of sports park. This principle of combining peacetime with wartime civil air defense construction can not only produce social and economic benefits in peacetime, but also give play to combat readiness benefits in wartime. The relationship between civil air defense space and comprehensive sports hall is vertical superposition, which can be directly reached from underground civil air defense through vertical ladder.

Design concept

Qujiang cultural sports park takes sports as the theme, takes internationalization, human culture and ecology as the design concept, leads the sports fashion of the life of the times, and adds a new life and leisure experience to the citizens.

Internationalization

Fencing and ice hockey are added to the park with leading demonstration effect. All sports venues, ball courts, Fitness Track and other facilities are constructed and arranged in accordance with international standards.

Human culture

The design of the park takes into full consideration the different demands of the citizens for sightseeing and sports leisure, and provides corresponding leisure venues for different groups. There are not only fitness trails and fitness squares for middle-aged and elderly people, but also fencing halls, ice hockey halls, football fields, tennis courts and other stadiums for young children's training.

Ecological

The park design integrates the concepts of green environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction and sponge city. Under the central lawn, there are multi-level cavernous bodies with the functions of water storage, water purification and water release; the surface layer of the sports ground adopts green, non-toxic and tasteless products, and widely uses LED lighting, which always runs through the design, construction and operation of the project with the concept of environmental protection and ecology.

Green landscape

The existing rich natural landform and native plants are retained to the maximum extent. The planting method is grass slope forest landscape. A certain amount of ornamental flowers and plants are appropriately decorated. The local tree species are mainly used for seedling species, so that the park can be quickly landscaped to achieve the landscape effect of three seasons with flowers and four seasons with scenery, and provide a beautiful environment for the public to keep fit in the forest.

Comprehensive sports hall

Ice hockey, fencing and swimming events are selected in the comprehensive hall, among which fencing hall is a multi-function hall. According to the needs of national fitness, indoor functions can be flexibly changed to meet the needs of indoor tennis hall, badminton hall and Volleyball Hall, and small and medium-sized events can be held to give full play to the use of the comprehensive hall.

Supporting facilities of the park

There are 170 ground parking spaces in the park, and about 800 matching parking spaces in the underground civil air defense facilities to meet the parking needs of the park and fitness people. There are bus stops and bicycle stops around to facilitate the arrival of the masses.

Outdoor sports facilities

The park has a professional walking path, a football Park, a basketball court, a tennis court, a badminton court, a fitness square and a children's activity center to facilitate people to participate in various sports.

The total length of the fitness track is 1000 meters. The professional process creates a high standard plastic surface. Combined with the landform, the suspended and sunken sections are set. At the same time, the labeling guide and professional running equipment experience area are configured to enrich the use experience and create the most characteristic fitness trail in Xi'an.

The football park includes one 11 player and four 5-player light courts, all of which are made of artificial grass, which can meet the requirements of all-weather high-intensity use and reduce the difficulty of daily maintenance. At the same time, outdoor activity stands are provided to facilitate the organization of community and folk football matches, as well as the promotion of youth football training.

The tennis court adopts the materials used in the diamond crown competition of the International Tennis Association, and the outdoor stands are set around the court, so that the court has the conditions to hold small-scale competitions and activities.

The park is equipped with fitness path, table tennis court, basketball court, tennis court, running track and football field, which are open to the public.
