Qi Baishi Memorial Hall
Qi Baishi memorial hall is a memorial hall with the theme of commemorating Qi Baishi, an outstanding people's artist and world cultural celebrity. It is located in Baishi Park, No.2 Dahu Road, Yuhu District, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. Affiliated to Xiangtan culture, radio, television, press and Publication Bureau, it was built in 1983 and approved by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of culture of the people's Republic of China to build the Qibaishi Memorial Hall in Xiangtan. It was completed in 1993 and opened to the public on May 20. Reconstruction in 2004. The museum is a two-story courtyard building complex of imitation wood brick tile, with a typical Huxiang style. The site of the museum is 10000 square meters, and the main building is 2000 square meters. In the museum, there are dozens of Qi Baishi's traditional Chinese paintings and early carving works, as well as hundreds of modern and contemporary famous calligraphic and painting works.
In February 2020, in honor of the medical workers, the memorial hall of Qi Baishi will provide preferential and free tourism services to medical workers throughout the country (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) from the date of resumption of operation to December 31, 2020.
Furnishings in the Museum
On the front gate of the memorial hall, the inscription "Qibaishi Memorial Hall" written by Mr. Sha Menghai is shining. The museum displays a large number of precious paintings, woodcarvings, seals, poems and other original works and a large number of contemporary masterpieces of old man Baishi; there are painting tools, daily necessities and other objects used by old man Baishi; there are copies of old house in Xingtang where old man Baishi lived and the former residence in kuache Hutong in Beijing; there are also pictures of old man Baishi's acceptance of the international peace prize and the real world A video of life. Through these objects, documents and plates, the long and rich artistic life of old man Baishi is displayed in an all-round way. On the left side of the memorial hall is the Baishi park. There are a series of statues of Qi Baishi in the park. The main statues are carved from Baishi, with white robes and white beards, which are reflected in the white clouds, making them elegant and immortal. The park is arranged according to the three axes of art landscape axis, environment landscape axis and art life axis. It highlights Mr. Qi Baishi's achievements in painting, printing and poetry with the square of painting, the place of seal script, the platform of calligraphy and the pavilion of poetry. It skillfully constructs each wonderful section of Mr. Qi's life course with the interactive infiltration of sculpture and garden, so that there are white stones in the landscape, and the God of white stones belongs to the landscape.

Qibaishi Qibaishi memorial building area of 4130 square meters, two floors, back to the building style of Jiangnan ethnic style. The exhibition covers an area of 2600 square meters. The contents of the exhibition are divided into five parts: "Qi Baishi's art life", "Qi Baishi's woodcarving works", "Qi Baishi's calligraphy and painting works", "Qi Baishi's carving works", "Qi Baishi's posterity, disciples and professional painters' works of the memorial". In addition, there are external exhibition hall, academic lecture hall, audio-visual hall, creation room and cultural relics warehouse. More than 1000 pieces of Qi Baishi cultural relics are collected in the museum. The new Qi Baishi memorial hall has become a center for Qi Baishi's art research, exhibition and training, creation and exchange of fine arts and calligraphy.
Historical evolution
In 1984, with the approval of the Central Propaganda Department, Qi Baishi memorial hall was built in Xiangtan. In 1993, the museum was built and put into use. However, due to the limitation of the conditions at that time, its area, structure, style and environment were not commensurate with Qi Baishi's cultural status. In 2001, the municipal Party committee and government decided to invest 12 million yuan to build a new Qi Baishi Memorial. In 2003, the new museum was basically completed. In November 2004, the first China (Xiangtan) Qibaishi culture and Art Festival officially opened. Qibaishi theme company with an investment of 120 million yuan was officially opened at the same time.

Transportation guide
Xiangtan has convenient transportation and developed communication. Xiangjiang River runs through the urban area, and waterway goods can go to sea from the Yangtze River. 107 National Road from Beijing to Shenzhen and Shanghai
National Highway 320 to Kunming and shangrui Expressway under construction all meet and cross in the urban area. Beijing Guangzhou and Hunan Guizhou railway pass through the city, and there are direct tourist trains from Guangzhou to Shaoshan. It only takes more than 30 minutes from Changtan Expressway to Changsha Huanghua Airport.

Qi Baishi (1864-1957), born in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, is a master of Chinese painting in the 20th century, one of the top ten calligraphers in the 20th century and a world cultural celebrity. Qi Baishi was born in xingziwu, baishipu, Xiangtan County on the new year's day of 1864 (November 22, the second year of Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty). He died of illness in Beijing on September 16, 1957 (August 23, 1957). He was 94 years old. The clan name is Chunzhi and the minor name is azhi.
