The former site of Yangjiagou revolution in Mizhi County is located in Yangjiagou village, 23 kilometers southeast of Mizhi City, Shaanxi Province. It is a tourism Holy Land combining the red revolutionary holy land and the famous historical and cultural village of China. In 1972, it began to build the Yangjiagou revolutionary memorial hall, which began to open to the outside world in 1978. In 1992, it was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit of Shaanxi Province by the people's Government of Shaanxi Province, and in 1994, it was named by the Shaanxi provincial Party committee As a patriotic education base in Shaanxi Province, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 2001. In 2005, Yangjiagou village was named as a famous historical and cultural village in China by the Ministry of construction and the Bureau of cultural relics. In 2005, the memorial hall of Chairman Mao's transfer to northern Shaanxi was established in the former revolutionary site. In 2007, it was named Shaanxi national defense education base by Shaanxi Provincial People's government, and in 2009, it was announced as the national patriotic education demonstration base by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. In 2010, it was included in the second national Red Classic scenic spot by the national development and Reform Commission.

Revolutionary site

On November 22, 1947, Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Ren Bishi led the headquarters of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the headquarters of the Chinese people's Liberation Army (PLA), which code named "Asian Department", to move to northern Shaanxi. They accompanied more than 600 officers and soldiers to Yangjiagou, where they engaged in important revolutionary activities and held the epoch-making "December meeting of the CPC Central Committee" The former residence of the proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation, such as Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhang Wentian, Ren Bishi, Hu Qiaomu, Lu Dingyi, Ye Jianying, Peng Dehuai, Yang Shangkun, Xi Zhongxun; the former site of the December meeting of the CPC Central Committee, the former site of the military meeting of senior cadres of the Northwest Field Army, the former site of the Dongdu Yellow River activists' meeting, the former site of the commemorative meeting of the working people's turning over; the former site of the political department and the information bureau of the CPC Central Committee , Xinhua news agency, radio station, Jiefang Daily, Northwest Bureau, Shaanxi provincial Party committee, communication class, battlefield hospital, supply and marketing department, security department, logistics department, staff headquarters and other important revolutionary sites.

The former revolutionary site of Yangjiagou covers a total area of 122000 square meters and a construction area of 63000 square meters. Now it is under the management of the memorial hall, covering a total area of 26000 square meters and a total construction area of 2100 square meters. Other parts are now occupied by farmers in Yangjiagou village.

Main display

1. The former site of the December meeting of the CPC Central Committee is mainly displayed with meetings, photos and objects.

2. The old houses of Chairman Mao and Zhou Enlai are kept in their original appearance.

3. Chairman Mao's move to Shanbei Memorial Hall mainly displays historical photos, characters, revolutionary cultural relics, sound, light, electric sand table, etc. the exhibition hall covers an area of 1260 square meters, with an area of 680 square meters. It is divided into nine exhibition rooms, collecting and making 348 (pieces) photos, image boards, etc., and displaying 35 revolutionary cultural relics.

4. The working people's turning over commemoration conference mainly displays the only "working people's turning over monument" in China, which is a national first-class cultural relic.
