Guluba is one of the famous "three dams" in China during the Anti Japanese War (the other two dams are huaxiba in Chengdu and Shapingba in Chongqing). It was founded in 1888 and was one of the largest Catholic churches in the five provinces of Northwest China at that time. The church was designed by the Dutch and constructed by excellent craftsmen in China. The whole building complex has unique design, ingenious conception, exquisite materials and superb construction technology, which has a high view In 1937, the Northwest Institute of technology, now the northwest Polytechnic University, borrowed the building of the church to run a school here for seven years, cultivating a large number of badly needed talents for the country. From dongjiaying township to Qiligou and the church, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Especially in May, when passing along the gully, the mountain is full of Qiligou flowers, wild chrysanthemums and Sophora flowers are blooming, which makes people relaxed and happy.
