Lanyue Lake

Lanyue lake is located in the eastern edge of the Changshi campus of Zhejiang Ocean University in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of about 500 mu. It is an artificial lake surrounded by the east facing construction dams of the Changshi campus of Zhejiang Ocean University. Its shape is like a crescent moon, which can capture the stars, so it is called lanyue lake.

Lanyue lake is located in the east of Changzhi campus of Zhejiang Ocean University in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. The lake is a man-made lake surrounded by east facing dikes of Changshi campus. Completed in 2013. Because its shape is curved like a crescent moon, it can capture the stars, so it is called lanyue lake.

The lake belongs to the Pacific waters, is located in the subtropical zone, the climate is mild and humid, precipitation is uniform, water flow is stable, no ice age.

In addition to providing a natural viewing area for nearby residents and a place for the public to rest and play, Zhejiang Ocean University has carried out sunshine long-distance running and a series of marine characteristic courses, such as canoeing, sailing, water quality monitoring of the lake, etc.

In addition to the traditional games held on the playground, Zhejiang Ocean University will hold the Zhejiang Ocean University Marine games on the lake every year.

On June 8, 2016, the first dragon boat race of Zhejiang Ocean University was held.
