Design of Cultural Square
The project is located in the core of the main urban area of Laohekou, at the northeast corner of Beijing Road and Shengli Road, adjacent to the Museum of Laohekou City in the north, facing Aohua international hotel across Beijing Road in the west, and connecting with Laohekou railway station in the East. After the long-term railway moving eastward, the land of Laohekou railway passenger station will be incorporated into the square. The total planned land area is 26791 square meters (40.2 mu), and the project is implemented in two phases, including 19331 square meters (29 mu) in phase I and 7460 square meters (11.19 mu) in phase II. The square is positioned as the Anti Japanese War Culture and assembly square. One center: the central fountain and eight totem pillars representing the eight years of Anti Japanese war are used as the central landscape of the square. 2. Two axes: take the vertical line between the central point of the railway station building and Beijing Road as the central axis of the whole square, which is also the historical axis (main axis) of the whole square. Through the entrance landscape - central fountain (Yellow River Chorus) - relief column - relief wall - History Museum. Take the axis of Shengli road - Fountain - relief column - Monument - the fifth commander's headquarters as the landscape axis (secondary axis). 3. Three areas: mainly refers to the public leisure area near Beijing Road, the central assembly area and the rest area near the railway station. Strive to the whole square static and dynamic zoning, to achieve the people-oriented design principle.
