Hongshui River scenic area is divided into two parts: the south part mainly includes the scenery of more than 200 square kilometers on both sides of Hongshui River from upstream of Dahua Power Station to Guhe township. Hongshui River is a gorge reservoir with a width of 300-500 meters and a depth of 30-50 meters due to the water blocking by the dam of the hydropower station. It has green mountains, green waters and lush bamboo and wood, so it is the most suitable for boating. The north section of Yantan Hydropower Station mainly refers to the Pearl Lake formed by blocking water, which starts from the dam head of Yantan Hydropower Station and flows northward for more than 100 kilometers, and can be traced back to the junction of Banlan and Donglan. This section of scenery is more quiet and magnificent.

Dahua Hydropower Station

Located on the Hongshui River in the county seat of Dahua Yao Autonomous County, it was completed in 1985 with a total installed capacity of 600000 kW and an annual power generation of 2.06 billion kwh. It is the first large-scale hydropower station to be completed among the cascade hydropower stations on the Hongshui River. The dam is more than 1000 meters long and 70 meters high. The powerhouse is of river bed type, and the hydro generator unit is of internal shaft slurry type. Dahua Hongshui River Bridge and power station constitute the grand blueprint of modernization construction here. The power station is magnificent and the environment is elegant. There is a small park in the power plant, with a painting Pavilion, a carved fence and a small bridge. At the head of the dam, you can not only see the scenery of the county, but also overlook the new scenery of lakes and mountains after the construction of the power station.

Scarlet mountain

Located in Shuangpai village, 8 kilometers west of the county, there is a hill that looks like a turtle with its head held high to the East. The turtle's head is triangular, and there are protruding stones on the left and right sides. The turtle's back is about 20 meters high and 60 meters long, and the pattern on its back is similar to that of a real turtle. There is a cave in its chest, which can hold dozens of people from the wind and rain.

yantan hydropower station

Located on the Hongshui River of Yantan Town, 78 kilometers northwest of the county, the barrage is more than 500 meters long and 120 meters high. The powerhouse is of dam back type and semi closed type, and the water turbine generator unit is of mixed type. The total installed capacity is 1.21 million kilowatts, and the annual power generation is 5.66 billion kilowatt hours. All of them have been completed and put into operation. The switch station of the power plant adopts the world's advanced sulfur hexafluoride fully enclosed combined apparatus, and the monitoring of the main power generation equipment adopts the high-tech such as computer monitoring system. Here, in addition to the majestic view of the famous large hydropower stations in China, a boat tour of the lake is more interesting. Because the average width of the water surface here is about 400 meters, and the widest part is more than 1700 meters. You can not only fly boats to skim the water, but also cruise along the island to enjoy the beauty of the lakes and mountains.

Sleeping Beauty Mountain

It is located on the west side of the dam head of Yantan Hydropower Station. It is composed of continuous mountains, nearly 1000 meters long and hundreds of meters high. It is similar to a beautiful woman's lying posture, with her head in the West and feet in the East, her feet in the water, her breasts exposed, and her hands crossed on her abdomen. The curve is beautiful and moving. "Beauty" of the "lower body" has a cave, there are 15 coffins. After preliminary investigation, it is believed that it was a cave burial in Song Dynasty. According to the data, there are 17 ancient tombs of Song Dynasty in Hongshui River Basin near Yantan.

Three Gorges of the Red River

It is about 16 kilometers long in Hongshui River, which starts from the bend at the foot of the mountain in Beijing Township in the south, ends at Banlan Township in the north and ends at the boundary of Donglan county. It is a long river lake with winding water. Its surface is about 100-300 meters wide, and the narrowest part is only 60 meters. There are three Gorges - Baiai gorge, Jiulong gorge and Banlan gorge.
