Yongan tower

Yongan tower, located in Anting old street, Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, is the landmark of Anting old street. It is located at the intersection of Bodhi temple, east of Yansi bridge, Sijing River and antingjing river.

In the second year of Wu chiwu in the Three Kingdoms, there was a Bodhi temple in Anting. It is said that it was built for the mother of Wu Lord Sun Quan. There was an ancient pagoda in antingjing in the east of the temple, named Yongan pagoda.

The pagoda has a history of 1800 years. On one side of the pagoda is the Bodhi temple, which is called the Millennium Temple. At the foot of the pagoda are the South and North antingjing and yansijing rivers flowing slowly. The pagoda, temple, bridge and river here constitute the landmark of Anting old street.

In order to highlight the Millennium historical features of Anting old street, combined with the towering and magnificent posture of the wind chimes of Yong'an tower, the people's Government of Anting town has spent a lot of money to create the night lighting in this area. Nowadays, when night falls, Anting old street is more simple and moving under the scattered lights. The riverside buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, the ancient trees with luxuriant branches, the well preserved ancient stone bridge, the restored Bodhi temple and the Yong'an tower reproduce the prosperity of Anting area in ancient times.

Yongan tower

There is a couplet on the bridge: "the cross river is divided into two counties, and there are people from all over the city.". The two counties refer to Kunshan and Jiading, and the two shops refer to yansiqiao, which is known locally as xiaoanting in the South and daanting in the north.

Yan Siqiao

Anting Town in the center of the old street, across Anting Jing, single arch, North Yanjing, Sijing, hence the name. It was built in 1374 in the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, built in 1783 in the 48th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, and rebuilt in 1826 in the sixth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. "Not to Yan Si Bridge, not to Anting." Yansi bridge, built in the seventh year of Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, has Tiancheng bridge in the East and Zhonghe bridge in the west, forming "three beautiful bridges". A hundred year old pomegranate tree is "drilled" out of the stone crevice on the south side of Yansi bridge. Pomegranate flowers bloom in May every year, and are bright red. Next to it stands a stone tablet: Shanghai ancient and famous tree protection unit, 160 years old.

Imitation song tower

The newly-built imitation song pagoda, with six sides and nine floors, was built in August 2003, with a total height of 52.88 meters. Among them, the 10.8-meter-high Tasha is made of gold-plated brass, and the eaves outside the pagoda are carved with fine wood. The whole pagoda is graceful, gorgeous and resplendent. Every floor of the tower has escalators to climb up to the top. You can see the whole auto city. There is an ancient bridge (Yansi bridge) under the tower, surrounded by imitation Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings. The gurgling sound of water under the bridge seems to tell the vicissitudes of history and the changes of the times on both sides of the Strait, showing the scene of "Yong'an Zhaohui, double bridge tower shadow" in Anting.
