Mitha Temple
It is said that the night gate god Zhong Fei came to the temple and was named "bell and Drum Tower". The bell drum tower monastery is located on the Bank of the river. The eaves are tilted and the momentum is magnificent. As the saying goes, "there is a bell drum tower in Wanzhou, half of which extends into the sky.". In its heyday, there were more than 300 monks in the temple, with morning bells and evening drums, and the sound of Scriptures was loud, which was really called "blessed land in the cave". Therefore, Mitha temple is not only a famous Buddhist temple in Southwest China, but also famous in China and abroad.

Mitha Temple
Originally known as Zhonghuai temple, Zhonggu tower, Mituo temple, etc., it is located at the east end of Yima Road, Wanzhou District, Chongqing, standing on the Bank of the Yangtze River. Built in the middle of Ming Dynasty, built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, and rebuilt in 1890, Mituo temple is a famous Buddhist temple in the Three Gorges area and even in Southwest China.

All of them are under the submergence water level of the Three Gorges project, which makes it difficult to move temples in the reservoir area. In order to save, protect and develop the precious historical and cultural heritage in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, from 1996 to 1998, with the approval of the former people's Government of Tiancheng district and the people's Government of Wanxian city, it was decided to move the Mituo temple to the hillside of Duli mountain, which is one of the "Eight Sights of Wanzhou" (Duli Ferris), that is, Beishan temple, a religious resort.
The project was started in October 2000 and completed in December 2006.

Beishan temple has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It is surrounded by water on three sides and close to mountains on one side.
