Jiaolu nunnery
Jiaolu nunnery, also known as Lu nunnery and zhengdeng courtyard, was stationed in Xixi Wetland of Hangzhou during the Song Dynasty (1131-1162). Due to the need of worship, zhengdeng courtyard was built in Longju Wu. In the early years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), Shi rujue of zhengdeng Temple moved the courtyard to Hezhu, which was named zhengdeng temple at the beginning. At the end of Ming Dynasty, Dong Qichang was responsible for the renovation. Jiaolu nunnery is one of the famous nunneries in Xixi history. It is a place where literati and scholars gather to learn about poetry, calligraphy and painting.

Selected travel notes of the past dynasties
Jiaolu nunnery is the best. Near anlixu, looking back at the stream Road, it is closed by wild bamboos. It is absolutely as if it is broken. You can see the eaves of Shuiyan, slanting out of the surface of Meilin. Its stone masonry can be eight or nine levels, old willow hanging, brush sweep stone, such as binding broom Yan. Dashiqiao North interest eight birds cypress, gradually see red leaves. Ascend the pavilion to worship Li Taihong, and eat in the monk's room. Yi Xiaoshuang walked out of the nunnery. The water is as clean as a swab. You wind row bamboo, people vaguely discernible. The stream is getting wider and wider, and it's near the whirlpool.
Addendum
Dong Qichang's title of Jiaolu nunnery in 1830 Dai Xi visited Shanghai Museum, which is famous for its poetic paintings of "a stream and a smoke".
During the renovation in the late Ming Dynasty, Dong Qichang wrote the name of "Jiaolu" (mistakenly writing "Jiaolu" as "Jiaolu"). "Xixi Baiyong" is waiting for the courtyard to record: "three margins without solid, if the cross Lu, now around the stream to live without understanding. Flowers and snow for cold know false heat, pipe empty for Flute solution virtual call. House by retting to send waves between the boat, the heart of leisure body water Fu. If the master of the nunnery can recommend it, why should he ask for it. "
There are two origins of jiaolu'an's name. First, Dong Qichang learned Buddhist scriptures and took the meaning of Lengyan Sutra. The fifth volume of the Lengyan Sutra says: "the Buddha told Ananda:" the root and the dust are of the same origin, and there is no two ways to bind and remove them; the nature of knowledge is vain, just like emptiness. Ananda! I know from the dust. Because the root has a phase, meet asexual, with cross reed. "Jiaolu" takes the root, dust and knowledge of Buddhist Scriptures as its meaning. Second, because the nunnery was built among the reeds, it was also called Lu nunnery. Since then, zhengdeng temple has been renamed Jiaolu temple. In addition, Chen Jiru has the title of "mountain is comfortable and water is slow".
