Guangdong Bridge Museum

Guangdong Bridge Museum is located in Cangshan hillside on the west side of Yinzhou Lake yamen estuary in Xinhui District, Jiangmen City. It is the only museum with bridge as the theme in Guangdong Province. It is strongly advocated and supported by the Department of communications of Guangdong Province and organized and implemented by the people's Government of Xinhui District, Jiangmen City.

The Museum covers an area of 110 mu, with a construction area of 3300 square meters. It has a wide view and beautiful environment. You can have a panoramic view of the towering ancient fort on the East Bank of Yamen and the magnificent Yamen Bridge.

Development history

In December 2001, the Xinhui District Government approved the establishment of a leading group for the preparation of Guangdong Bridge Museum Park, which has an office to directly lead and specifically organize the implementation of infrastructure projects, exhibition preparation and arrangement of the museum;

In January 2002, Guangdong Bridge Museum Park Co., Ltd. was approved to be established to manage the whole project as a legal person. The total investment of Guangdong qiaoliang Bridge Museum is 29 million yuan, including the main building, green leisure square and viewing platform. In September 2003, Guangdong Bridge Museum Co., Ltd., the provincial Photographers Association and the provincial bridge society jointly held the "Guangdong bridge photography competition" to collect bridge photo materials across the province. A total of more than 1000 bridge photography works were received from photographers from all over the province, including 228 award-winning and selected works.

Guangdong Bridge Museum was completed on December 18, 2005 and officially opened to the public free of charge.

Guangdong Bridge Museum covers an area of 110 mu, of which the main building is three stories high with a construction area of 3300 square meters, the supporting project green leisure square covers an area of 8000 square meters, and the viewing platform is antique Fort building style with an area of 3000 square meters.

The main building of Guangdong Bridge Museum is three stories high, with exhibition space on the first and second floors. The part of "Guangdong Bridge Exhibition" is the focus, which is displayed on the first floor; on the second floor, there are many exhibition halls, such as "Sino foreign bridge Expo", "future bridge prospect" and "bridge culture collection".

Collection

The exhibition layout, exhibition frame and exhibition stand of Guangdong Bridge Museum are made of new aluminum-plastic plate, stainless steel profile, metal steel frame, plexiglass, glass, natural stone, wood and other materials. The reasonable use of various materials and the ingenious collocation of different colors make it form a contrast between rigid and soft, cold and warm, curved and straight, square and round, light and heavy, so as to strengthen and enrich the overall visual effect of the display. The exhibition design of the whole bridge Museum creates an environment of communication and interaction, using sculpture, pictures, words, models, objects, paintings, calligraphy, folk crafts and other art forms, and with the help of background, exhibition tools, decorations, lighting, sound and so on to create a harmonious exhibition atmosphere with unified content and form.
