Chongqing Christian United Church, formerly known as social hall, is located at No. 96 Ciqi street, Jiefangbei, Chongqing, also known as Ciqi Street Church. It belongs to the Methodist Church. The church worships according to the Bible and the sacraments prescribed by the church system. Every Christmas, Easter and other major festivals, believers gather in the chapel to participate in worship activities. The hall was built in 1925, which could hold thousands of people. It was destroyed by Japanese planes during the Anti Japanese War, restored in 1943 and rebuilt in 1953.
