Wenfeng Wooden Pagoda
Wenfeng wooden pagoda is located in zhongwangbao, Anle Township, 10 Li southeast of Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province. It was built in 1606, the 34th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. It is the only ancient wooden pagoda in Northwest China.

Wenfeng Wooden Pagoda, also known as wooden pagoda temple. It is a pavilion style wooden tower built by Wen Chun, the Minister of the Ministry of industry of the Ming Dynasty.
The tower has three floors, six corners and four eaves, and the Ji corner is tall and exquisite. The tower is 24 meters high and is located on a 4-meter-high brick base. There is a brick ramp between the tower and the North Hall. There are escalators in the tower. You can climb up to the second or third floor. When you climb the tower, you can have a panoramic view. The fields are crisscross, the mountains are like Dai, the river is like a chain, and the scenery is picturesque.
Introduction to cultural relics
Wenfeng wooden pagoda is located 5 kilometers southeast of Sanyuan city in Shaanxi Province. Wenfeng wooden pagoda temple covers an area of 32 mu. The main building of the temple was built in 1594, the 22nd year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. It has four eaves and six corners. The height of the pagoda is about 20 meters. It has three floors. It is made of brick and stone. The bottom is 13 meters long and 4 meters high. 2、 The overhanging eaves of the third floor are supported by flat seat "Yongding column" and overhanging beam hanging column without bucket arch; the overhanging eaves are retracted layer by layer, and the upper column base falls on the lower column base Fang (Baotou beam). There are lattice windows on each side of the tower, and the eaves on each floor are tilted and wind chimes are tied. The top structure of the tower is made up of the architrave and several layers of angle beams. The Leigong column falls on the flat beam of the Taiping column, such as Pavilion style. Hexagonal save Jianding, set the bottle type tower brake. The tower and the front hall are connected by an arch bridge, which is the access for climbing the tower. There is a door in the northwest of the bottom floor, and there are escalators in the tower, which can climb up to the second or third floor. Visitors can climb the tower and have a long view. The scenery is picturesque, which makes people relaxed and happy.
The wooden archway on the north side of the wooden pagoda was originally located in the Confucian temple on the South Street of Sanyuan county. It was built in 1303, the seventh year of Dade in Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt and repaired repeatedly in Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. It was rebuilt in 1836, and moved to the wooden pagoda temple in 1982. The structure of Mupai building is a three story building with four pillars and eight supports. It is about 15 meters high and 10 meters wide. The roof is covered with glazed tiles, and the eaves are covered with Ruyi Dougong.
According to historical records, the pagoda temple used to cover an area of more than 100 mu, and there were five main halls in the temple, but now there are only ruins. The temple has long been famous for planting trees and flowers, especially for all kinds of chrysanthemums. On the ninth Double Ninth Festival of the ninth lunar month, people from tens of miles climb the pagoda to enjoy the chrysanthemums.
Cultural relics protection
Wenfeng wooden tower, as the only wooden tower in Northwest China, was repaired three times in 1680, 1940 and 1981, which basically maintained its original style. In April 2001, the Provincial Bureau of cultural relics allocated funds to build the pagoda temple wall in an antique style, and added a gatehouse. Flowers, especially chrysanthemums, seedlings and winter jujubes, have been planted again in the temple. Ancient locust trees, flowers and wooden pagodas complement each other, which makes the pagoda garden present a sense of quiet and elegant vicissitudes. The Wenfeng wooden pagoda cultural management office was established by the county government in 1985 and officially opened to the outside world.
On May 31, 1957, zhongwangbao pagoda was announced as the second batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units by Shaanxi Provincial People's Committee. On April 20, 1992, Shaanxi Provincial People's government announced the scope of protection. Its key protection area (area a): Tower and wooden archway. General protection area (area B): 95 meters from east to west and 220 meters from north to south. Construction control zone (Zone C): the same as zone B.
