From 1959 to 1964, it built garden walls, pavilions and fountains. In 1979, it built three gates of the park. Historical evolution

Bitang Park was built in 1939. At first, it was just a piece of wasteland. Due to the kiln burning bricks nearby, the land was low-lying and the water was clear all the year round. Therefore, people called it Bitang. When the park was built in 1939, it was named Bitang. However, in addition to a pool of clear water, there were only some trees and a few children's play tools in Bitang park at that time. However, this simple park has not affected her fame.

In the early 1940's, the old things trading market gradually formed at the original site of the west gate of Bitang Park, and then gradually became a larger market. That is the rudiment of northbound. Perhaps by taking advantage of the popularity of northbound, Bitang park has a foundation for further expansion and development. In 1987, an entertainment hall for the elderly with an area of 957 square meters was built in the northwest corner of the park, which contains billiards, mahjong, chess and dance halls. In the west of the park, there is also a children's entertainment area, with 6 sets of swings, a slide, a space vehicle, an electric train and an electric mini car In 1990, the park was rebuilt. A new garden with an area of 55000 square meters was built. The original open-air theater was demolished and more than 3100 precious tree species such as pine, cypress, spruce, fir, Pinus tabulaeformis and Ginkgo biloba were planted. 12000 square meters of lawns were planted, 1400 square meters of lake surface was expanded, rockery was rebuilt, pavilions were rebuilt, and ceramic nine dragon walls were built.

present situation

In the 21st century, Bitang park has been brightened, new street lamps have been installed on the 3300 meter long corridor of Bitang Park, and carved 12 zodiac column sculptures have been erected on both sides of the corridor. The park is open to the public free of charge, and is trying to provide better services to the public. This may be the reason why Bitang park is old and strong, and people still can't live without it.
