Tianmu Muslim North Temple
Tianmu North mosque is located in Tianmu village, Beichen District, Tianjin city. The mosque was founded in 1404, the second year of Yongle reign of Ming Dynasty. It has been renovated and expanded several times in the past 500 years. The temple is composed of a worship hall, a lecture hall, a counter hall and a bath room. It is a Chinese palace style complex. The mosque covers an area of 4956 square meters and the main hall covers an area of 1000 square meters, which can accommodate more than 1000 people. The mosque is not only magnificent, but also has beautiful scenery. It is one of the ancient mosques in Tianjin.
Construction scale
The main halls of the mosque were repaired and rebuilt after the "Cultural Revolution". In January 1980, Tianjin municipal and district governments raised 60000 yuan and donated money to repair the hall. In 1984, the villagers raised 100000 yuan to rebuild the North-South lecture hall, the opposite hall and the moon tower in the northwest of the hall. In 1986, the bathing room was built. Because the main hall was damaged by the earthquake, the main hall was rebuilt in 1992, and the original bungalow of the Sutra room was converted into a two-story building. It was completed in 1995, with a total investment of more than 7 million yuan.
In 2006, Beisi covers an area of 12000 square meters, with a construction area of 4054 square meters. The main hall covers an area of 1050 square meters. The eaves on the top of the hall are glazed tiles. In front of the hall are crested horned beasts. On the front of the hall are three plaques, such as "halal ancient religion". The hall is simple and elegant, and can be worshiped by more than 1000 people. In front of the hall is an auxiliary hall with three ridges and 18 columns, 7 meters high. The window sashes are painted with landscape flowers. The front hall is 21 meters long from the north to the South and 18 meters wide from the east to the West. There are eight Optimus Prime with a diameter of 40 cm and a height of more than 6 meters in the front hall. They are painted in red, blue, white, green and gold with lotus reliefs inlaid with brocade. The back hall is 30 meters long from north to South and 13 meters wide from east to west. There are nine classes of service blankets on the floor. In the hall, there are 14 vermilion painted pillars more than 8 meters high, holding up five layers of painted beams, forming three vaults, with a maximum of about 16 meters and a full height of about 25 meters. The building area of men's Chapel is 1770 square meters, which can accommodate 1200 people to gather at the same time. The main entrance of the opposite hall is the Chuihua gate, which is used for the religious people to enter and leave during the festivals of "gurbang" and "erdai". The lintel of the gate is engraved with the word "North mosque". A small gate is set on the north side of the gate, which is used in peacetime. There are two floors of lecture halls on both sides of the hall. The South lecture hall is the office of the management committee and hailivan classroom, and the North lecture hall is the dean's room and conference room. At the back of the hall, there is a Muslim women's temple, covering an area of 300 square meters, which can accommodate 300 people to worship at the same time. The tower is 20 meters high. During Ramadan, the lights shine and can be seen several miles away. On the north side of the gate, there are two stone steles, namely "a study of the history of the North Temple" and "Mu's Genealogy".
