Qianfo Town, Jingyan County, Sichuan Province, covers an area of 41.9 square kilometers and has a population of 17007 (2017). National Highway 213 runs across the town and three rivers converge. Qianfo town is 25 kilometers away from Leshan Giant Buddha, 50 kilometers away from Mount Emei, 80 kilometers away from Zigong "Dinosaur kingdom" and 5 kilometers away from Jingyan county. The town is one of the key development areas of Jingyan corridor, the porcelain capital of Western China.

Evolution of organizational system

In the Tang Dynasty, there were thousands of statues of Buddhas on both sides of mangxi River, named Qianfoyan. Qianfo Temple (later renamed Fuquan Temple) was built in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty. In the prosperous period of menkan salt industry, it was a place for salt distribution, where merchants gathered and markets flourished, gradually forming a market, known as Qianfo market. In 1929, it was renamed Qianfo township. After liberation, it was divided into three townships, Qianfo, Minjian and Changnian in 1952. In 1958, Baowu township was merged into Qianbao people's commune. In 1962, Baowu commune was set up, including Qianfo commune, Minjian commune and Changnian commune. In 1969, Minjian and Changnian commune were merged into Qianfo commune. In 1983, Qianfo township was restored, and in 1992, the township was withdrawn to build a town.

Qianfo town is one of the big industrial towns. As of 2004, there are 68 industrial enterprises in the territory, including 7 Enterprises above the designated size. The pillar industries with ceramics, food processing and brewing, pharmacy, chemical paper making, mechanical processing, transportation and commercial beverage service as the main body have initially formed, and the private economy of the whole town has stepped into a sound development track. In 2003, the industrial output value was 180 million yuan, the added value was 31 million yuan, the profit was 4.29 million yuan, the tax was 3.71 million yuan, the enterprise had 3500 migrant workers and their wages were 15 million yuan.

Ruifeng glass products Co., Ltd. (Qianfo glass factory): Chen Ruixue, the legal representative, has 500 employees. In 2003, the output value was 3 million yuan, mainly producing wine bottles and other glass products. The company has long maintained a good cooperative relationship with Wuliangye Group, with good product quality and credibility.

Qianfo machine brick factory: it is located in group 3, heli village, Qianfo Town, covering an area of 23 mu. The total assets are 210000 yuan. There is one wheel nest with 14 doors, with an annual output of 6 million machine bricks. The factory does not owe the state and unit loans. It is the only town run enterprise. It is leased to Mr. Song Keqin, and the lease term expires in December 2004. Due to the aging of machinery and equipment and the fierce market competition, the plant has been shut down since January 2004 and is starting to change production.

Tengda Machinery Factory: Ruan Jianping, the legal representative, realized an output value of 1.05 million yuan in 2003. Its products mainly include mechanical standard parts, fire valves, bolts, etc. its products have a certain share in Chengdu, Chongqing, Gansu, etc. At the end of 2003, after absorbing shares, the plant changed to produce small agricultural machinery, with an estimated production capacity of 5000 sets / year.

Hago Rabbit Industry Co., Ltd. and Hongyu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.: located in Jiangjun village and shijiaqiao village of Qianfo town respectively, are subordinate enterprises of Jingyan service group. Hago Rabbit Industry Co., Ltd. was completed and put into operation at the end of 2002, and has reached the production and processing scale of 2.5 million meat rabbits, which is the largest meat rabbit processing enterprise in the province. On the premise of ensuring food production, the four pillar industries of pig, rabbit, fish and fruit have been cultivated and expanded. In 2003, the total output value of agriculture was 63.99 million yuan, including 19.11 million yuan for planting, 8.89 million yuan for forestry, 38.41 million yuan for animal husbandry and 5.59 million yuan for fishery, accounting for 30%, 1%, 60% and 9% of the total output value respectively. Tax reform: in 2002, Qianfo town and the whole county carried out the tax reform simultaneously. After the reform, the agricultural tax and surcharges of the whole town were 1.24 million yuan, 54 yuan per capita, and the burden per capita was reduced by 30%.

Infrastructure construction. At the beginning of 2004, the construction of Qianfo substation and the special bridge of animal husbandry science and technology park expansion yard was started, and the construction is being stepped up.
