historical event
The exhibition hall of the former site of Tianjin front command of Pingjin campaign is located in the East Street of yaowangmiao, 11th Street, Yangliuqing town, Xiqing District. Tianjin campaign is an important large-scale battle in the liberation war of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, and it is the key to the peaceful liberation of Peking.
The Tianjin front-line headquarters of the Pingjin campaign, which was used to direct the campaign, was located in Tianjin
This courtyard is in the style of Qing Dynasty. In order to commemorate this great battle that liberated Tianjin, Tianjin Municipal People's government listed it as a cultural relic protection unit at the municipal level in 1982. It was renovated in 1984 and opened as the "exhibition hall of the former site of Tianjin front line headquarters of the Pingjin campaign". A large number of objects, photos and cultural relics here reproduce the moving scene of our Northeast Field Army fighting in Tianjin under the wise leadership of the Central Military Commission and Mao Zedong and the strong support of the broad masses of the people.
At the end of the Liaoshen campaign in November 1948, the Huaihai Campaign was in full swing. The Party Central Committee and Mao Zedong launched the Pingjin campaign in time. In accordance with the order of the Central Military Commission, our Northeast Field Army immediately entered the pass without waiting for a rest, joined up with the North China Field Army in victory, encircled and annihilated the enemy in North China, and liberated xinbao'an and Zhangjiakou on November 22 and 24, respectively. After the liberation of xinbaoan and Zhangjiakou, in order to smash the enemy's plan to flee to the South as soon as possible, our army concentrated the absolute superiority of 22 divisions of five armies to attack Tianjin
Defend the enemy and carry out separate encirclement and annihilation. Liu Yalou, commander of Tianjin front command, held several high-level military meetings here to deploy operational plans. On January 14, 1949, after the Tianjin garrison refused to lay down its weapons, commander Liu Yalou issued a general attack order here. After 29 hours of fierce fighting, he completely annihilated more than 130000 garrison troops and captured Kuomintang commander Chen Changjie alive. Tianjin was liberated on January 15.
The voice of history
Everyone in Tianjin knows and will always remember January 15, 1949, because it is the day of Tianjin's Liberation and the victory of an important and large-scale battle in the Third Civil Revolutionary War. It was because of the victory of the Tianjin campaign that the enemy in Beiping fell into a desperate situation. Fu Zuoyi accepted the conditions for peaceful adaptation. With reverence, we found a courtyard in yaowangmiao East Street, 11th Street, Yangliuqing town, Xiqing District, Tianjin. This is the former site of Tianjin front-line headquarters during the Pingjin war. Liu Yalou, commander of Tianjin front command, held many high-level military meetings here to deploy operational plans. In order to commemorate this great campaign that liberated Tianjin, in 1962, the Hebei provincial government approved the old site of the headquarters as a cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province. In 1982, the Tianjin Municipal People's Government re announced it as a municipal cultural relic protection unit. In 1984, it was renovated and built as "the exhibition hall of the former site of Tianjin front command in the Pingjin campaign."
This courtyard is in the old residential protection area planned in Xiqing District. Although the green brick houses are old, compared with the surrounding buildings, they have obvious traces of maintenance and protection. Entering the courtyard, the regular pattern design is no different from the traditional courtyard in northern China. Compared with the style and luxury of the large family like the Shijia courtyard, it is more plain and natural.
According to Fu, the teacher who is looking after the courtyard here, the courtyard was originally a small Dai surnamed who opened a bank in the city The rich man's home has a small population and a low-key manner. Of course, it won't attract too many people's attention if outsiders stay here. In addition, the courtyard is neither too big nor too small, neither publicity nor enough use. It should be a good choice to take it as the Tianjin front-line headquarters. After all, it was still in the white area at that time, and there were often some spies. The Kuomintang also sent planes to drop bombs here. Fortunately, the bombs fell a little too far and blew up the nearby Tong family courtyard. Fortunately, the courtyard was completely preserved and restored to its original shape in the 1980s. Battle maps, telephones, sofas, tables, chairs and beds are still in their original positions. Although there are not many, they can still be used Let people see things and think about feelings, and remember those days of fierce fighting.
