Nanwan Village
Nanwan village belongs to Qiandeng Town of Kunshan City. The former Nanwan village is located in the northern suburb of Qiandeng Town, Gu Yanwu's hometown. It is adjacent to Wusong River in the East, airport road in the south, Zhipu village in the West and Zhangpu Sanjia village in the north. In September 2001, the village was formed by the merger of Nanwan and Qipu administrative villages. In September 2001, the city name office was changed to Nanwan village.

The total area of the village is 3.19 square kilometers, including 600 mu of village, 400 mu of river course, 300 mu of road, 150 mu of courtyard, 200 mu of public greening, 500 mu of new villager community and 3600 mu of ecological park. The total number of households is 360, including 168 in Nanwan village and 192 in Qipu village. The total population is 1423, including 688 men and 735 women; 843 labor force, 641 students; 644 elderly people over 60 years old, accounting for 21.6% of the total population, including 71 elderly people over 80 years old and 6 elderly people over 90 years old.
Village economy
The former Nanwan village is a single agricultural economy. Village run enterprises can only solve the problem of labor force employment. The distribution of village cadres and various expenses in the village are borne by farmers, apportioned according to work and borne according to field. The collective economy is always in the lower middle of the town, and the living standard of farmers is in the lower middle of the town.
Nanwan village was listed as a model village of rural modernization construction in Kunshan City in 1997, drawing lessons from its geographical location, the advantages of land and water transportation, and the policy of reform and opening up.
According to statistics, in 2007, the total output value of the village reached 1.8 million yuan, an increase of 12% over the previous year, including 50000 yuan of agricultural output value and 1.75 million yuan of industrial output value. Nanwan village old and young activity center was founded in 2005, with an investment of 700000 yuan. The total planning area is 3119 square meters, including a construction area of 2800 square meters.
