The exhibition area of Huaxia shoes culture museum is nearly 1000 square meters. It shows shoes from ancient times, Shang and Zhou dynasties, Qin and Han Dynasties, Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China and after the founding of new China. Among the exhibits, there are both ancient relics and later imitations. The history of shoes for thousands of years is clear at a glance. The museum is divided into six parts, including the history of shoes, the folk customs of shoes, the categories of shoes, the three inch Golden Lotus theme, boutique exhibition and special scenes. "The history of shoes can be traced back to ancient times. In our historical exhibition area, all kinds of shoes from ancient times to new China are covered." Curator Zhong Mantian said. Curator Zhong told reporters that in the museum, the historical background, manufacturing materials, accessories and different styles of the three inch Golden Lotus shoes were displayed one by one. Three inch Jinlian shoes do not exist alone, but are equipped with a lot of accessories, mainly including silver and silk accessories, and metal accessories, such as leg strap, foot ring and so on. The three inch Golden Lotus shoes in different regions are not the same. The museum is a collection of styles from 28 provinces and cities with different sizes, colors and designs. Compared with modern standardized production, it has a unique charm.

"Cheating shoes" born in ancient imperial examination

Do you know there were "cheating shoes" in ancient imperial examinations? You can see it in the museum. In the boutique display part, a pair of black cloth shoes attracted the attention of reporters. Different from ordinary shoes, its sole presents a concave square, which looks like only a few square centimeters. "It's used for cheating in the imperial examination. It's called" strap on shoes ". Examinees can put the pocket version of the model essay into this depression, and then cover it with insoles. On the other hand, seven kinds of exquisite shoes, such as Jietian shoes and Royal Dragon shoes, are presented one by one. In the part of special scenes, the real scenes of the shoe stores in the city during the Qing Dynasty, the facade of laomeihua's branch in Beijing, the hundred shoes wall with 100 pairs of shoes on display, and even the houses where people bound their feet for women are all displayed one by one. In a small house, a dozen items such as foot binding chairs and stools, Golden Lotus splints, foot binding cloth and Golden Lotus irons were placed on the narrow bed. The whole house looked like a "torture room".
