According to textual research: during the 1911 Wuchang Uprising and the 1916 national defense war, Hunan sent civilian troops to assist Hubei in the war, with many victims. In 1916, the remains of some Hunan martyrs who died in the two wars of aiding Hubei returned to their homeland and were buried in Yuelu Mountain. The cemetery group faces south, with a square layout, about 12 meters long and 8 meters wide, covering an area of about 100 square meters. It is composed of tomb enclosure, tombstone, tomb and stone railing. The waist shaped tomb is surrounded by a network of granite flakes, inlaid with a long stone tablet. It is inscribed with the official script "Tomb of the soldiers who died in the five national protectors of Hubei Province in 1911", which is 1.3 meters high.
