Shanghai flower port is located on the beautiful coast of the East China Sea, adjacent to the International Airport in the north and Yangshan deep water port in the south. Since September 2002, Shanghai flower port, covering an area of 1 million square meters, has grown up on the Bank of the East China Sea between Pudong International Airport and Yangshan deep water port. Shanghai flower port is located in Nanhui new city of Pudong by Dishui Lake on the coast of the East China Sea. It was opened in September 2002. Introduction to Huagang

Shanghai flower port is an important measure for Shanghai to implement the structural adjustment of agricultural industrialization. Shanghai flower port will be built into a functional supporting area of Nanhui new city, a flower and horticulture radiation area of Shanghai World Expo, and a demonstration and practice area of modern urban agriculture.

Planning area

The planning area of Shanghai flower port is 10 square kilometers, and the core area is 1 square kilometers, which is mainly composed of four parts. 1. There are 60 hectares of automatic control greenhouse production area; 2. 28 hectares of new flower varieties display area; 3. 7 hectares of education research and development promotion area; 4. 3 hectares of supporting service area. Its hardware and software construction is leading in China and advanced in the world. The new tulip flower exhibition area covers an area of 28 hectares. There are 3.2 million tulips planted in the park, with more than 300 varieties. The exhibition area is full of characteristics and various forms.

3.2 million tulips were carefully cultivated by horticultural technicians. After soil improvement, nutrient matrix injection and adjustment of planting methods, the flowering period could be extended to the end of April for a whole month. The completion of the exhibition area will enable flower enterprises and farmers to order new varieties needed for planting every year without going abroad.

Through the professional and technical personnel debugging a set of suitable for China's various regions planting new varieties, new ways, can make flower growers reduce costs, improve efficiency. Nearly a month's flowering period can let the public appreciate the charming charm of colorful tulips. The exhibition garden holds three theme flower exhibitions every year. In addition to tulip flower exhibition from the end of March to the beginning of May, the theme exhibition of lotus, water lily and other aquatic plants is held from the middle of May to the end of September every year, with more than 80000 plants and more than 20 varieties.

Experience activities

Shanghai, March 24 (Xinhua) the 12th tulip flower exhibition of Shanghai flower port will be held on March 26, with more than 3.2 million tulips, hyacinth, daffodils, anemones and other bulb flowers of 500 varieties. For more than ten years, new varieties of tulip from Holland have been introduced to Shanghai flower port, and more than 100 new products will be settled.
