Fushan stele forest park
People say that Shanxi has a good scenery and the fragrance of rice and flowers on both sides of the Fenhe River. When history entered the 1990s, the East Bank of the Fenhe River was full of the fragrance of ink -- a comprehensive tourist attraction, Beilin Park, which specializes in collecting and displaying fine calligraphy and ink of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The construction of Beilin park is a practical project run by the Taiyuan municipal Party committee and government in 1990 and 1995, with a total investment of 6.76 million yuan. It is one of the important signs that the cultural construction of our province has reached a new level. Beilin park is located on the East Bank of Fenhe River, west of Jinsong Road, from Kangle street in the north to Shuangta street in the south, 800 meters south of Shanxi International Building in Yingze street, beside Fenhe park. The park covers an area of 13728m2, a building area of 4577.01 m2, 489.6 meters of stele corridor, 5800 m2 of lawn and 1100 m2 of water surface. There are 2134 plants in the park, 400 plants of various types and 88 varieties. The green space rate and intact plant rate reach 52.7% and 98%. It is a new and professional cultural park that has begun to take shape. Beilin Park, with the main functions of collection, exhibition, appreciation, social education and tourism, integrates culture and leisure. Among the numerous scenic spots in the forest of Steles in China, it is unique and has won the reputation of "a priceless treasure in the three Jin Dynasties" and "a good position for traditional education". It was once named "moral education base" by the provincial and municipal education committees. So far, 418 stone tablets have been collected in the forest of Steles, which may be an epitome of the vitality of Chinese traditional culture.
